Welcome! The Little Orange Kitchen Studio is a place where I spend endless hours coming up with cool ways to upcycle paper and of course, where in-between wallets, I've been known to make some pretty good cookies!

Payment

I accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover through Paypal as well as personal checks and money orders.

If you elect to pay by check or money order, I wait until the items has cleared before shipping your order.

If you hit the "submit order" button, you have committed to buy the item, please do so within 3 days.

Shipping

I usually ship within one business day and always by U.S.P.S. First Class delivery. I include non-signature Delivery Confirmation in the shipping fee.

All products are shipped in new bubble mailers or clean recycled gift boxes and are wrapped and ready for gift-giving (even if it’s just a gift for yourself!). However, if you would like me to include a tag and ship it to another address, just include your request in the “Notes to Seller” field when you order.

I love shipping Internationally, but cannot be responsible for Custom's fees and taxes on any order.

Refunds and Exchanges

If you’re unsatisfied with the item(s)and notify me by email within three days of receipt, I will refund the entire purchase price including the original shipping and handling fee once I receive the returned the item in the same condition as mailed. If you are unhappy in any way, please contact me at once so we can resolve the issue.

Do you use recycled paper?

I upcycle any paper I can get my hands on!

Where do you find your paper?

I use vintage children’s books, magazines, vintage wallpaper, old calendars, contemporary gift wrap, newsprint from all over the world, handmade paper from India, as well as my own original illustrations printed on blank newsprint. I see potential wallets in everything from vintage fashion magazines to cupcake wrappers!

How long will my new wallet last?

My wallets are durable and easily withstand normal wear and tear. They’re not disposable. However, they are functional pieces of art and will not last as long as your average leather wallet. How long they last depends on how you use yours. I use and abuse mine, (lipstick and keys crammed in with folded letters!) but I’ve never had one fall apart or rip. The more you use your wallet, the softer and more flexible it will become.

Why do you use vinyl?

I use the lightest weight vinyl I can find to give the wallets added durability and a pleasing texture. The vinyl is soft and has a matte finish as opposed to glossy, in order to best showcase the natural beauty of the paper.

How did you come up with your shop name?

My kitchen is a nice shade of spicy orange and it's where I get most of my inspiration. I consider it an extension of my studio. My creativity in the studio is intrinsically linked my creativity in the kitchen. If a project isn't working, I head downstairs to make a pot of soup or a batch of cookies and suddenly the right paper for a project I've been struggling with pops into my mind. I lined the inside of my cabinet doors with vintage children's book images, postcards, paper patterns, theater tickets and pictures. They look plain on the outside, but each time I open one, I'm hit with a million ideas. My kitchen and my studio both feed me on many levels.
