Welcome
Welcome to Kell's Creations!
I have eclectic tastes and interests, from folklore and literature to culture and history, and these influences are inevitably translated to my pieces. Each piece is part of a collection focused on a theme, and you can read about these themed collections here:
**Affaire de Coeur**
Simple or sophisticated, a touch of the Edwardian or Victorian, these pieces call to the romantic and feminine within.
**Caravanserai**
Imagine an exotic desert inn, tassel-draped camels, exquisitely caparisoned Arabian horses, silk, spices, jewel tones. 1001 Arabian Nights, a Marakesh Bazaar, and belly dancers whose sinuous rhythms are underscored by the beat of the drum. This is the Caravanserai line.
**Eire**
Emerald hills and high crosses, The Book of Kells, misty moors, and labyrinthine knots that symbolize eternity with no beginning and no end. This is Eire.
**Quest** Travel to a mythical past, to the world of King Arthur and the quest for the Holy Grail, a world of dragons, castles, fairies, and all things magical and mysterious. When you quest, perhaps you will return with a great treasure, or a miniature dragon of your very own.
**Sherwood Forest**
The legend of Robin Hood and Maid Marian inspires images of a primeval forest with trees draped in ivy vines and ferns growing amidst tree roots. Sherwood Forest is "natural medieval," with the curving lines of vines and plenty of leaves and seasonal colors.
**Southwest Fusion**
Turquoise and silver, adobe walls and blue doors, earthy panoramas, vast blue skies, and tree-dotted mesas. Southwest Fusion features a touch of the traditional blended with my own unique vision of what it's like to be part of the Land of Enchantment and the greater Southwest.
**Tempest**
Tempest is inspired by the fantastical Shakespearean romance in which the sorcerer Prospero and his daughter Miranda were set adrift and shipwrecked on a remote island. Starfish in tidal pools, beach glass, sea shells and sea horses, I like to imagine the pieces in "Tempest" as a magical array of natural objects discovered during Miranda's many barefoot strolls on the beach.
Payment
I accept PayPal, and PayPal will give you the option to use a credit card.
I accept money orders as well, and I will ship your item after I verify the authenticity of the money order. I will also accept personal checks as long as they are written on US banks. After the check clears I will ship your item.
LAYAWAY TERMS:
If you are short of funds but have found that 'special' item, I would be happy to arrange a payment plan with you.
*Layaway services are good towards any item over $75.00.
*Basic Terms:
~30% down - nonrefundable to hold the item.
~The balance must be paid off in 60 days from the date of the initial transaction or the entire transaction will be forfeited.
~Once the item is completely paid for, it will be shipped.
~There is a 5% additional charge for layaways due to the extra PayPal fees incurred.
*Payment:
~After the initial 30% down-payment you are able to make
up-to 3 more payments on the remaining purchase amount.
~I will bill you via Paypal for the remaining 3 payments
in the increments we discuss at the time of our first transaction.
~You are always able to make a bigger payment than is
scheduled, just convo me to let me know what size payment
you'd like to make, before your next scheduled payment.
~Early payment is not a problem.
*Should you wish to use the layaway plan, please go ahead and make your purchase as a Check, Money-Order or OTHER, but do not make payment. Write me a note in the notes to seller requesting a layaway, and I will send you a new invoice reflecting the deposit amount via Paypal. I regularly check my Etsy account and will most likely respond before the end of the day.
**GIFT SERVICE**
Shipping your gift: If you would like to have your item shipped as a gift to another address, just let me know in the "notes to seller" when you place your order, and I would be happy to ship the gift on your behalf at no extra cost. I put all my pieces in boxes and tie them with a bow, so they are ready for gift giving.
Personalized note: I am also a calligrapher, and as an added service to those customers who request it, I will include a hand-lettered gift card with your short message. This card service is similar to what you would receive when you call a flower shop and have flowers delivered.
**COUPON CODES**
Since Etsy is a mediator between the seller and the buyer, there's no option as of yet to have your coupon code automatically applied to your order. But if I have given you a coupon code, the best way to redeem your discount is to go through the ordering process, choose "other" as your method of payment, and at some point during this process you will have a chance to leave a message for me, either in the the buyer comments section or the message to seller area. Include the coupon code in your message to me, and I will then send you an invoice that reflects your coupon discount. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message through the conversations option here at Etsy (or in Etsy slang, "convo"), or email me at pounderosa [at] wildblue.net
Shipping
I ship internationally.
U.S. CUSTOMERS: I normally ship First Class mail. If you want to add services such as delivery confirmation and insurance (recommended for higher cost items), or if you want your package shipped priority mail, please let me know, and I will send you an invoice that reflects the higher shipping charge.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: For customers in Canada, Mexico, and "everywhere else," I ship First Class Mail International, which is the most economical method of shipping for my items. Unfortunately, due to the nature of international shipping, I cannot offer delivery confirmation or insurance to customers outside the U.S. However, I can offer priority mail shipping. If you want priority mail shipping, please let me know and I will adjust your invoice. Please know that the fee can be rather high, from $17 to $30, depending on weight and location.
ALL CUSTOMERS: I take great pains to make sure all items I ship are unlikely to be damaged during shipment; of course I can offer no guarantees. Your item will arrive carefully packed in a padded envelope or in a small box, depending on the size or shape of the piece and the destination.
Unless stated otherwise, jewelry items will also come gift wrapped in cotton-lined cardboard Kraft jewelry boxes.
Refunds and Exchanges
I try to be as accurate as possible when I list an item's measurements, so please review these before purchase. But I really want you to be happy with your purchase, so if for some reason you're unhappy, please contact me and we'll work something out. You may also feel free to return the item, at your cost, within 7 days of receiving it. I'll give you a full refund for the purchase price plus the original shipping cost you paid at the time of the purchase as long as I receive the item in its original condition and unworn.
