fivefingerpottery's Shop Policies

Welcome

I strive to create pottery that is thoughtfully crafted, well executed, carefully detailed, richly glazed, and eminently functional - pottery that entwines with your daily routine and fits into the curve of your palm.

These are the mugs you reach for, the bowls you carry from room to room, the plates you use to serve friends and family your favorite foods. Five Finger pots are made to last and made to please.

I work out of my basement studio in Petersburg, Alaska and sell my work primarily at Wild Celery in Petersburg and Scanlon Gallery in Ketchikan, Alaksa. More photographs of my work can be found at

Shipping

Items are shipped within one week of cleared payment via USPS Priority Mail. Items ship from ALASKA so may take a few extra days to reach you.

While I take great care to pack items carefully, if your order arrives broken you will need to contact me within one week of receipt. Leave all contents, parking material, and the box itself intact - you will need to go to the post office and prove that the item was damaged during shipment. Only after the USPS insurance claim has been resolved can I ship replacement items. If the item was unique, an item of comparable value may be offered in its place.

Refunds and Exchanges

If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason I offer returns and exchanges. Items with flaws disclosed at the time of sale are not eligible for return. Item(s) must be returned within 14 days after you received your purchase. It must also be in its original condition. Shipping costs will be subtracted from your refund and/or exchange. You are also responsible for return shipping.

Additional Policies and FAQs

USING YOUR POTTERY
Five Finger pottery is very durable. It is food safe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe. It is also warm oven safe but should not be shocked (from hot to cold or vice versa) or placed on an open flame.

VARIATION
All items are inspected carefully before shipment. Irregularities and variation in glaze color are inherent due to the hand-crafted nature of ceramics. These characteristics add to the natural beauty and unique quality of these products and are in no way considered flaws.
