Ekioart's Shop Policies
Welcome
Hi there!
I'm friendly, open and always happy to chat over a piece. So feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding my shop policies. I'm sometimes a bit scatterbrained so if I've left something out that you needed to know, just shoot me a convo!
Payment
I accept Paypal and RME at this time.
RME or Revolutionary Money Exchange, is a service much like Paypal, it is linked to a bank and has the option of a credit card linked to your RME funds. It's a great way to pay and easy. ^-^ Let me know if your interested in the service as I can send you a referral link. *Referral at this time gives me $10 which I promptly use on Etsy to keep the independent sellers growing!* If you do already have RME (or once your signed up) choose Other as your payment option and put RME and your email address in the message to seller at the bottom of your order page. I will then send you an invoice through RME.
Cancellation Policy
I will cancel a sale if it has not been paid for within three days. I understand that sometimes things happen and someone has to walk away from their computer and that sometimes the payment set up here has some people confused. I give three days time initially but if convoed with specific reason as to why payment could not be made within three days I will extend deadline for payment in certain cases. Otherwise I will cancel the sale and relist the item.
Shipping
When I ship
I ship every Friday. If requested I can ship on an earlier date but my main post office trip is every Friday morning. It just makes sure that I get the same postal clerk who is more than happy to make sure my packages go out safe and sound. ^-^
I ship First Class unless requested otherwise for just about every item. The only things that go out Priority without request are paintings.
Photos are shipped in a bubble mailer sandwiched between two sheets of acid free paper and mat board. *the mat board is not cut into a photo mat, it is simply there to keep the photo from being bent. I just grab a pair out of my stack so colors are always random.*
Refunds and Exchanges
I would rather fix something for a customer than give a refund. My reasoning behind this is that you bought an item because you liked it, perhaps loved it and so I wouldn't want you to be upset that your purchase wasn't as perfect as you thought.
Here are my terms, If for some reason a piece arrives to you damaged (IE: chain broke, link snapped, jump ring came undone) or something along that line happens within the first month, I will ask you to ship the piece back to me (I'll pay for shipping both ways)I'll repair it and ship it back to you quickly. I would much rather you keep the piece you love than feel upset about a piece that for what ever reason was damaged. I try to make sure everything is solid before listing but sometimes something slips by me. I'm only human and these are handmade items ^-~
After the first month I will be happy to repair a piece only I can't promise payment of shipping both ways, I will pay to ship it back to you but my payment of repair would be your paying to ship the item to me.
Losses
If for some odd reason your parcel gets lost on its way to you, let me know and I will try to track it down firstly. If we cannot find it, I will try to remake a piece as closely as I can. Generally every piece I make is one of a kind so it may be hard for me to recreate a piece nearly exactly but I will try my hardest. Then I will ship the secondary piece out to you at my cost. If for some reason I cannot recreate a piece (beads no longer available, it was a vintage mix piece, only skein I produced) then I will refund your purchase price.
Now if it comes down to the fact that you just plain out didn't like the item I would request that you ship it back to me and I would refund the price of the item itself. I will not refund shipping or pay you to ship it back as it was shipped as requested and that portion of the sale had no problem.
Additional Policies and FAQs
Honestly, I'm happy to work with a customer regarding their purchase, I'll gift wrap for an extra fee, I'll ship to a recipient that isn't the purchaser and I'm more than happy to do custom work, just ask!
If there's anything I've left out that you wanted to know, convo away!
