Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my shop and this policy page as there is a lot of info here, including payment, shipping and refund policies as well as a bit of FAQ as well. I apologize in advance for my exhausting inability to use fewer words but the good news is that it means I am thorough! If you have questions after reading this page, please convo - I'd be glad to help!

Payment

Please make payment when you checkout. If no contact or payment is made within 2 days, your order will be canceled.

I accept payments through PayPal (NO E-CHECKS). You can use a credit card to pay through PayPal without setting up an account or being charged any fees.

Shipping

★!★PLEASE Verify that your PayPal & Etsy addresses match! There's just one of me and with the number of orders I process in a week and my schedule I don't always notice right away if they don't and I can't ship your order until I know where it needs to go. Paying at the time of purchase and verifying your address prevents delays in shipment and keeps you from missing out on items that are limited in supply and relisted due to non-payment!

★You will receive a confirmation email sent to the address you provide Etsy when your order goes out. I won't ever send you spam, sign you up for a mailing list or otherwise use your email address for any reason other than necessary contact regarding your order. Depending on your email provider and/or settings, my email may go to a junk or spam folder so please either add it to an allow list (sarah @ thewistfulrepublic .com) or remember to check these folders if you are waiting for correspondence from me!

★US ORDERS: US orders ship within 2-6 business days via USPS and generally arrive within 2-7 days after shipment. If you would like priority or express shipping or want your order shipped via a different carrier (UPS or FedEx), please contact me BEFORE making a purchase!

★INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: International orders ship within 3-6 business days via USPS first class air mail. This is the method available via USPS that is affordable and generally dependable with packages usually arriving safely within about 1 week. Delays are usually attributable to customs and are not something I can control. Please be aware that your package is neither trackable nor insured against damage, loss or theft in transit and that sometimes packages can take up to 3-4 weeks to arrive. This is not something I have any control over so please don't order if you are not okay with this...if something happens to your package along the way, it is not within my control and therefore not eligible for reshipment or refunds. If you would like priority or express shipping or want your order shipped via a different carrier (UPS or FedEx), please contact me BEFORE making a purchase! Buyers are responsible for all customs and/or duty fees - these fees are not the responsibility of myself or my business. I do not misrepresent orders as gifts on customs forms - they are filled out factually and in compliance with the law on all orders with no exceptions.

★RUSH SERVICE: (applies to custom button, magnet, or mirror orders) I offer both rush service and rush shipping. Rush service means that instead of having to wait out my current turnaround time, I will drop everything and begin work on your order, generally having it finished and in the mail within 2 days of receiving artwork and payment. If you would also like rush shipping on your order, please be aware that this is a separate fee. Please convo me BEFORE purchase to inquire about rush service as the price varies depending on the size of your order and the turnaround time varies depending on my current workload.

★RETURNED OR LOST PACKAGES: If an error on my part causes your package to be returned to me I will immediately contact you and offer to resend at my expense or refund your money if you prefer. If your package is returned or lost due to your error on your end (including but not limited to: not providing a correct address, theft, not being home to receive a package that requires signature or personal receipt, etc) I will gladly reship if your package comes back to me but I do request that you pay the postage it will cost to do so. If your package has a tracking number that shows your order has arrived at your home, I'm sorry but I cannot offer a refund or reshipment of goods that are marked as received at your place of residence. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Refunds and Exchanges

Please choose carefully as I do not accept returns due to buyer's remorse. If your order is incorrect or damaged due to a fault of mine, I will gladly issue a refund upon approval. I take great care to package items carefully and I have sent out hundreds of packages without ever needing to do a return but I am human and if your order is incorrect or damaged due to my error (this does not include damage done by the postal service on uninsured packages!), please contact me within one week to discuss a return. Items being returned must first be approved via email or convo discussion and shipped back to me in the condition received with original invoice within a week. Original and return postage is the responsibility of the buyer.

There are NO RETURNS on custom button, magnet and mirror orders! Once I've begun work on a custom order, I have already invested time and money that I am not able to recoup and no refunds will be issued. Custom orders are very carefully packaged and are covered by the same policy stated above if something is incorrect or damaged due to an error on my part. Please contact me before buying if you would like to purchase insurance.

I make every effort to describe and photograph items accurately and I am glad to answer any questions you may have. Asking necessary questions before buying and being aware of the above shop policies help you to be sure you get exactly what you want and are satisfied with the entire transaction!

Frequently Asked Questions / General Info:

★CONTACT / PRIVACY POLICY: Questions about products or policies sent via Etsy convo will be answered promptly. If you need to contact me regarding pending or past orders, the best way is via email (sarah @ thewistfulrepublic .com). You will receive an email at the address you provide Etsy when your order ships. I will also contact you via email if I have a question about your order or need to provide you with important information regarding your order. I won't ever send you spam, sign you up for a mailing list or otherwise use your email address for any reason other than necessary contact regarding your order. ★WHOLESALE: I gladly fill wholesale requests on many items in my shop so please feel free to convo letting me know what you're interested in and in what quantity for a custom quote.

★CUSTOM ORDERS / ORDERS FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED: Please do not place an order and leave a note to seller stating that you want to add more items! If you'd like a custom listing or need something I haven't relisted yet, please contact me before buying so that your order can be placed all at once. I incur separate PayPal fees when requests are made after the fact, and my shipping method undergoes a lot of confusion. I'm just one lady packaging and shipping a lot of orders and I need a system or I'll go nuts. Orders placed in several parts create more room for error on my end and disappointment on yours. When a partial order is placed, I will cancel the Etsy sale and refund your money so we can start over from scratch. Contacting me first saves us both time and makes everything run much smoother!

★PACKAGING: Orders come from a smoke-free, animal-inhabited environment. I reuse as much as I can when packaging orders and encourage continuing the cycle of reuse whenever possible. I do include invoices, as I know that many people buying supplies are running a business as well and may need a paper receipt for their purchase. I either print them or write them out on paper salvaged from a friend's office (it's virgin paper but it's been saved from the trash). If you don't want an invoice included, just let me know in the note to seller.

★GIFT WRAPPING: My handmade items come in clear plastic bags with cute little hang tags stapled to the top and several customers that gave them as Christmas gifts last year contacted me to say that the packaging was perfect. Aside from attaching hang tags however, I do not offer any gift wrapping services. I primarily sell supplies in this shop and my handmade items are deeply discounted to make room for my new line (which will be available on my website in Fall 09) so I'm not able to offer gift wrapping services at this time and do not keep gift boxes or wrapping paper in stock.

★RING BLANKS: I do not have any other style or size than what is listed in my shop. They're adjustable so there is no set size. They come to me sized at about 20mm in diameter but they adjust to fit just about any finger. Whether or not they'll turn someone's finger green depends totally on that person and how they react to certain metals, their individual metal allergies or sensitivities and the severity of those allergies or sensitivities.

★CHARMS: Unless stated in the listing, the brass charms in my shop are not 3D or "puffed" and they are not reversible (meaning they do have a front and a back and are not the same on both sides) - they are stamped from a thin but sturdy sheet of brass which results in a lightweight and affordable embellishment for a wide variety of projects. The pictures showing the actual size of any item in my shop are configured for a specific screen setting (1024 x 768 pixels), so if yours is different or you do not know what your screen setting is, please go by the measurements listed.

★CUSTOM PROMOS: These listings are for custom magnets, buttons and mirrors featuring your own artwork. You send me the artwork, I proof, print, cut, and press this artwork into magnets, buttons or mirrors. I'm sorry but the price for these items does not extend to designs that are already available in my shop. The price is for artwork supplied by you and pressed by me. My turnaround time is always listed in my shop announcement and varies according to my current workload. I AM available for larger quantities! Quantities of up to 250 of any item are available with the same turnaround time listed in my announcement. Quantities of 500-2000 require 1-2 additional weeks of turnaround time, as parts may need to be ordered and the time and work required to do an order of that size is greater than that of smaller orders. Please convo for a quote if you are interested in larger quantities!

★Regarding FEEDBACK: I consider a transaction finished when you've received your order, are satisfied, and have left feedback. If you are unsatisfied for some reason, PLEASE contact me through email or convo before leaving feedback so that I can work things out to your satisfaction! I will gladly do so if you contact me first but I cannot do anything to help you if you don't let me know that there is a problem! I am very quick to leave feedback when I make a purchase but I have to admit that I tend to get really behind on it as a seller and sometimes end up doing three or four months worth at once so please let me know if you are awaiting reciprocation and I will gladly take care of it then - otherwise, running the shop and getting everyone's orders to them on time keeps me so busy that I genuinely don't have time for months at a time but please don't think your business is not appreciated (or your feedback!) because it truly is. Again: please contact me if you want me to leave feedback right away and I will do so - I know feedback can be especially important for new shops and if you want me to leave you feedback more quickly, just send me a convo and I'll take care of it as soon as I can.

★FREEBIES: My feelings on free gifts with purchase are this: (1) when running a business, all costs must be considered and nothing can really be given away for free. Including free items would raise the cost of running my business and, in turn, raise the cost of the items I sell. (2) I've found that, as a customer, I frequently receive free gifts that are not my taste or are not useful to me, despite their generous and kind intent. I have found that it is very difficult to gauge a person's interests based on the items they select as most of the items in my shop could be useful in a wide array of projects and have found happy homes with a wonderfully varied mix of people. As such, it is nearly impossible to think of a free gift that I am confident you would find useful. So! All things considered, I'd much rather send you exactly what you've ordered and you know you want for a reasonable price.
