dewdrophandmades's Shop Policies

Welcome

Hello and Thank You for taking the time to look at my shop - Dewdrop Handmades.

I am committed to providing quality, handmade, boutique clothing and accessories that feature fresh looks, and timeless styles. My work is inspired by my children foremost, but also by the natural world. I have a great love affair with the woods, and you will see that reflected in my work through embroidery, fabric choices and my commitment to providing clothing and accessories which have been recycled, upcycled, and repurposed. I am hoping to offer more organic fabrics in the future (recession aside). I am the founder of the Etsy Team, Mother Nature, which focuses on both organic and repurposed materials for clothing and accessories - be sure to check out the other team members through our Google Group, Mother Nature.

I am the mother of three children, ages 4, 3, and 14 months, so I understand the need for quality clothing which is both comfortable, fashionable, and "age-appropriate"-not to mention washable! Currently, most of my items are custom made to size which allows greater flexibiltiy for both you, the consumer, and myself the producer. Do you have a "hard to fit" child? Purchase a custom item from Dewdrop Handmades and the clothes will be made exactly to your child's measurements!

I am currently working on an 8-12 year old section for the summer and fall, so please be sure to check back in for those items. My hope is to offer clothing which allows your child to express themselves as individuals without having to let go of the innocence of childhood too soon.

Dewdrop Handmades is primarily a one-woman operation: designing, sewing, photographing, web-design, blogging, and marketing are done by me, myself, and I. It has been a hands-on learning process from the start and although it requires the time commitment of a full-time job, I absolutely love every minute of it. I am thinking about sewing and creating every single minute of every single day, even while I'm washing diapers, fixing meals, or mopping the floor! It is a delicate balance being a working-stay-at-home mom, but so far we, as a family, are making it work. Many people ask me, "how do you do it?" and in all honesty I just don't know. I am contemplating writing down what I do in a day for a future blog, just to see - but, I'm afraid that if I really start thinking about it, I might slow down enough to realize just how tired I am!

Please be sure to mark Dewdrop Handmades as a favorite and stop back in for specials! Because I am a mom myself and understand that these economic times are what they are, you will not find anything in Dewdrop Handmades for over $50, and most of what is priced close to that amount is a set.
