Welcome

Lovingly handmade in Nova Scotia using centuries old craftsmanship, these beautiful leather handbound books combine several distinctive elements. High quality leather is carefully selected and only archival paper is used. International customers and custom orders are welcome! All shop orders usually ship 2-3 business days after purchase, with the exception of custom journals.

Payment

I only accept PayPal for online orders - it is safe and secure! Through Paypal, you can also pay with credit card, bank transfer and e-check (item will ship when e-checks clear). Payment is expected at the time of purchase, unless otherwise mutually agreed upon, or else item will be re-listed the next day. Please make sure your payment has gone through *completely* in Paypal. If you have any difficulties please contact me.

Shipping

USA & WORLD ► All items are listed with Airmail shipping rates. Shipping to USA via Airmail takes approx. 10-14 business days, International approx. 16-20 business days. As it's the most economical way of shipping around the world, there is no tracking, insurance or guaranteed on-time delivery (delivery times are thus estimations only). Upgraded shipping is available - please convo me for a quote to your location. Additional cost of upgraded shipping will be sent to you via email, through a Paypal invoice. I will not ship packages until the fees are paid for.

CANADA ► Items are mailed via Expedited domestic parcel (within 4-5 business days) which includes tracking. If you would like your tracking number, please let me know.

~~~~ IMPORTANT USA / INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING INFORMATION ~~~~
I love my international customers! However, our postal systems leave a lot to be desired. Standard shipping offered in my shop is Airmail, and while it is reliable, there is no tracking or insurance available. Expedited shipping does provide basic tracking and insures the package for loss or damage but not for delays. "On-time" delivery is not guaranteed due to the fact that random custom checks can delay any package going across borders; this is beyond my control. I am sorry that I cannot be held responsible should your journal be delayed for any reason while in transit. The best I have to work with are estimates given to me by CanadaPost.

If you opt out of upgraded shipping, please realize that you are agreeing that in the event your package is lost, delayed or damaged, there will be NO REFUNDS or REPLACEMENT. It hasn't happened frequently but there is always a risk. I am sorry for the necessity of this stringent policy. Therefore you must PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I ship to your Etsy address, unless you state otherwise. Please make sure this address is correct, as I cannot be held responsible for packages that don't make it to you due to an incorrect address. (You will be responsible for shipping fees to re-ship it to you, should the package be returned to me due to incorrect address.) Whenever possible, I reuse decent shipping materials. Please do your part to reduce waste!

Refunds and Exchanges

I want you to be completely happy with your order and am confident you will be. Item can be returned 7 days after you receives it, for replacement or refund of purchase price (less shipping). Item must be in original unused condition when returned, or else refund or replacement will not be given. It is best to insure the item for its purchase value when returning it, as no refunds will be given if item is lost in the mail. Sorry, I do not accept returns for custom journals.

I cannot refund or replace journals that are delayed in the mail.

CUSTOM ORDERS: Please allow about 1 week, prior to shipping, for custom orders to be completed. Custom orders must be paid at the time of placement.

Customizations available:

+ create your own quote page (+$5.00) - choose your own image and quote from a favorite author, poem, song, or a note of your own
+ varying sizes of journals available
+ lined pages available for 5½"x4¼" and 8½"x5½" journals (+5.00)
+ leather varies with what I have on hand - some may be similar, every piece is unique even if it's cut from the same hide
+ engraving up to 3 initials by freehand leather burning ($5.00)
+ treeless paper now available for 5½"x4¼" and 8½"x5½" journals - ask me about it
