Welcome

Hi there! If you're interested enough to read my policy page, then I love you already. :) The Swan's Nest was created to give the supplies in my original shop (The Ebon Swan: http://theebonswan.etsy.com) a place of their own so that I could offer an even wider variety of the gorgeous cameos and other supplies I kept running across. There's just something about being able to go shopping for other people, I guess!

The fine print policy details may sound pretty stiff and forbidding, but that's just my putting things in as clear a way as possible with as little ambiguity as possible.

Payment

*The bottom line is, if you're paying via Paypal, I expect fairly immediate payment. If you are having trouble navigating Paypal, or there is some other issue I should know about, please do contact me as soon as possible so we can get you paid off and your new treasures out the door. :)

*If payment or arrangements for the same are not received within 5 business days, your sale is subject to cancellation and the item(s) relisted. Appropriate feedback will apply. I will attempt to contact you through convos, direct emails and a Paypal invoice, if applicable prior to this.

*I do take alternate forms of payment, including personal check, money order, RMX (www.revolutionmoneyexchange.com), trades, barter, etc. I only barter and trade with other Etsy sellers. This is for both my protection and yours.

*Please understand that it may take up to 4 weeks for a personal check to clear both your bank and mine.

*No orders are shipped without payment in full, with the exception of barter and trades.

*International customers: I accept Paypal only (with the exception of barter/trade). I wish I could take other forms of payment, but my bank keeps yelling at me.

*I do indeed consider "layaway" options and reserve items. Please contact me first so that we may flesh out the details and come to an agreement. :)

Shipping

*I ship USPS First Class and USPS First Class International unless otherwise noted.

*I ship on the next "shipping day" after your payment is received and cleared. Generally, I ship twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. If things are hopping, it may go up to once a day. I give feedback just as soon as I return from the post office, so you'll know your package is on its way.

*Shipping upgrades will require additional fees. If you would like me to ship by some other method (ex. Priority Mail), please contact me PRIOR to purchasing your items so that I may adjust the shipping.

*Insurance is optional, but strongly encouraged. Delivery confirmation is encouraged as well. Again, if you would like these services added, please contact me prior to your purchase.

*No packages leave my hands without payment in full.

*My customs slips will be marked with "other" and a description of what is in the package with its purchase price (not with shipping). Please do not ask me to mark it as "gift", this is illegal. Any duties incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser.

*Shipping prices include packaging materials. I do not include them in my item prices because I sell in other places than Etsy and my prices must be consistent.

Refunds and Exchanges

*If there is a problem with your item/package, please let me know as soon as possible so that we may work things out. After 10 days I assume that you are happy with your purchases and will not consider exchanges or returns.

*Exchanges, returns and refunds are discretionary, but I'm very good with them in general. Please contact me with your situation so that we discuss this and come to a solution.

*Once a package leaves my hands, I cannot be responsible for losses. If you have any concerns about your package's arrival, please do consider insurance and delivery confirmation.

Additional Policies and FAQs

*Many of my items may be purchased in multiple lots...if you'd like more of a given item, please contact me and I'll see what can be done for you.

*Please let me know that you've received your package by leaving me feedback. That way I quit fretting about your items and all the loose ends are tied off. :)

*I reserve the right to refuse sales due to lack of payment, retaliatory or uncalled-for negative feedback, abusive language during communications, or any other unpleasantness that I haven't thought of yet. I love my customers, but there's only so much I'll put up with. ;)
