Welcome

Dotty Monkey soft creatures and accessories are designed with children in mind and we make them to be played with. But of course we love it when grown-ups like them too! All the designs are by Emily, who is an artist living and working in Glasgow (Scotland, UK), inspired and hampered by two small daughters. By a process which defies logic and logistics, the designs are translated into patterns by her mum, Julia, who lives too far away on top of a hill in Derbyshire (England, UK), and are sewn by both of us. Prototypes are tested by the two small daughters and other grandchildren. We use child and baby friendly materials, mostly natural fibres. We love Liberty, Alexander Henry, Michael Miller and other quirky and retro designs.
All our creations are one off, unique originals, because making them the same each time would be boring if not impossible, and we're happy to receive requests for a particular colour or fabric combination which we'll do our best to fulfil.

Payment

Please pay via Paypal within three days of placing your order.
Buyers in UK and EU: Please contact us if you'd rather pay in British pounds or Euros, we can send you a PayPal invoice in the currency of your choice.
Customers in the UK only may pay by cheque if preferred - please select ‘other’ payment method and we will e-mail you the total pounds sterling cost including p&p .

Shipping

The shipping cost includes packaging. We keep trying different ways of making this as pretty, practical, economical and easy on the environment as possible!
We aim to send your purchase within 4 days of your payment and will certainly let you know if for any reason this isn't possible so that you can decide whether to cancel. We always e-mail to confirm despatch.
We post first class within the UK, airmail to everywhere else. Usually, Europe seems to take 4 - 5 working days, and USA / rest of world 7 - 10 working days. If you would like recorded or signed for delivery, or insurance, please convo us for the cost.
Any customs fees would be payable by the customer.

Refunds and Exchanges

We will refund or exchange any item returned in new and unused condition, but please convo first to discuss. Postage charges are not refundable.
We pack carefully in padded bags and are not responsible for damage or loss in transit.
