Additional Policies and FAQs

Please contact me if you have any questions, concerns or comments about your order or potential order.

Everything in Ivy & Mae is made upon order, please allow at least a week for your order to be complete.

I also run mamaziel.etsy.com

Since my items are made upon order, each creation can be made to your unique needs. Allowing flexiblity--sleevless, sleeves, lengthen a skirt, and an inch here and and take in a bit there. You really have a lot of control over the final product. Sending measurements in the best way to ensure the nicest fit, contact me if you have any questions about how to measure!

If measurements aren't available I'll use general sizing guides, based off the size ordered, but please remember, that there may be differences between standard sizes and your childs size.

I do welcome wholesale inquiries, at this time I do not participate in consignment opportunities.

FAQ

1. I want to buy a flower girl dress from you, but my wedding isn't for months, what do you suggest I do?

--I've done a few things, but the most popular method to deal with this has been, paying a 1/2 deposit (non-refundable) to secure supplies and a spot on my list and then 6 weeks before the event, paying the remaining amount plus shipping/handling. At that time current measurements will be used and your order will ship in a few weeks.

If this method doesn't work for you, please contact me for other options.

2. Are deposits refundable?

-No, they are not. I use the deposit to secure supplies for your order and do not refund deposits.

3. What is the turn around time on a dress?

-This really varies, but plan on a week, if I'm busy two for production. I'd highly recommend planning on a really roomy timeline, you want to have enough time to have the dresses tried on by each girl to make sure the fit works, I do keep in touch and will help if you need my assistance to refit something, however...there has to be enough time to ship back to me and me back to you.

5. I like the style of a dress/tie (etc), but I want it in a different fabric, is that possible?

--Yes. I do allow for custom requests. The price can vary depending on supply costs.

6. I'd like the mothers of my flower girls to purchase the dresses from you, instead of me, is that ok?

--While that is ok, I do suggest that if you have more than 2 flower girls that you select one person to be the point person (bride, or a mother). The person to pay, answer questions and to work out shipping arrangements. Otherwise I spend a lot of time bouncing emails off to multiple people saying the same thing, which takes time away from me preping/making/finishing/shipping your order.

7. How do I get a dress reserved?
Please contact me and provide the following information: when the event is and how many dresses you'll need. If my schedule is clear and we agree on price/timeline and after confirmation from you to go forward with the order, I will make a custom/reserve listing for you in my shop, after the listing is finished I'll send the link to your listing to you. Please note, that I do not allow for custom/reserve listings to sit in my shop longer than 2 weeks. If you need more time you must contact me to work out a timeline for payment. Securing a spot on my list doesn't happen until a deposit or full payment (depending on arrangements) has been made, likewise, production doesn't take place until full payment has been made as well.

8. What if I get my dress and it doesn't fit my flowergirl?

Please measure the dress and measure the girl again.

If I made a mistake I cover the cost of all alterations and the shipping charges back to the buyer. The details of this arrangement won't be hammered out until I've received the dress and can verify the situation with the dress.

If I was sent the wrong measurements, I do fix the dresses for a fee and the buyer pays to ship it to me and have me ship it back to them. The cost is dependant on if I have to remake a bodice or if I can let out seams. The final charges won't be known until I get the dress.
