Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoy browsing my shop. Here's a quick intro to the materials I use and the kind of jewellery I make.


I try to source materials ethically, for example, I buy Karen hill tribe beads from an approved fair trade supplier and my gift boxes are made from recycled material. I don't claim to be 100% eco-friendly or ethical, but I am trying to improve this aspect of my jewellery making.

Lampwork:
I buy mainly artisan lampwork beads from named artists who don't mass-produce beads or make several copies of the same bead set. That's because I want my lampwork jewellery to be unique.

Beaded beads
I use only Japanese or good quality Czech seed beads (yes I have found some). That's because I think uniformity is important for the quality of this type of beadwork.

Crystals
Only Swarovski.

Finishing
I take care to file down sharp edges so my jewellery won't snag on your favourite jumper. I am paranoid about secure knots and I file and polish any soldering that I do.

Payment

I accept PayPal only for international orders. I will accept a personal cheque for UK customers, but I will not dispatch the item until the cheque clears. If you wish to pay by this method pleas contact me before purchasing.

Shipping

FREE SHIPPING ON READY-TO-WEAR

For items of jewellery, the price you see is the price you pay - there are no additional shipping charges. Most of my jewellery cannot be reproduced, especially lampwork and other special beads, so if it's lost in transit, that's it I'm afraid. I do not accept responsibility for items lost in shipping so if you don't wish to take that risk, please purchase additional insurance.

SUPPLIES
A shipping charge applies. If you purchase many supplies in one go I will refund the excess shipping charges.

To the UK:
Orders are sent 1st class by Royal Mail.

Everywhere else: Orders are sent first class air mail.

Refunds and Exchanges

I want you to be completely happy with your purchase and so I do my best to give you as much information as possible about each piece in my listings. However, if you are not happy with your purchase, please contact me within one week of receipt. Items must be returned in their original gift box, unworn and at the purchaser's own expense. I will accept earring returns but I will retain $5 of the original purchase price in order to cover replacement of the fittings which I cannot reuse for reasons of hygiene.

PACKAGING

JEWELLERY: Most items come in an organza bag with ribbon trim as standard. Larger items may come in a cardboard gift box made from recycled materials. The lid of the box is decorated with an organza ribbon and bow and the box is lined with a white fibralite insert and contains an anti-tarnish tab. Items are pinned to the insert to prevent movement during shipping. The gift-boxed items are shipped in Jiffy bags.

SUPPLIES: These will be securely packaged in a Jiffy bag or similar.

Please recycle packaging where possible.


PRICING

I price items according to labour and materials. Under 'labour' I factor in the time it takes me to source materials, photograph items, check that the digital images are representative and fiddle about accordingly, and upload to Etsy. For example lampwork beads are relatively costly but beaded beads and crochet ropes are time-consuming to make. As a rule materials do tend to be pricier in the UK where I source most of them, and I am also particular about quality, which of course increases the costs.
