Welcome

I love working with Wood, I cannot for the life of me see why I should be using anything other than the trees the are growing in the area where I live. Therefore, I try and generally succeed in making it a policy to only use local Hardwoods.

Most of these would generally ended up on peoples fires, that's not to say they're free, generally I have to pay something....but that's just where the process starts, next is to get the bits of tree/branches back to the workshop.....then chainsaw and bandsaw them to size...then it's into the kiln and anything up to 3 months for a large bowl before the turning starts. Then turn it, finish it and sell it - that's all there is to it !

Payment

I take Paypal, that's generally the best method for doing online transactions quickly. If you're in the UK, then a cheque's ok....but it will have to clear first. If you're in the UK and in Lancashire or passing through on your way to the Lakes - feel free to pop in and press wads of notes into my sweaty mitts.

Shipping

I ship as close to cost as possible - I do not quote a combined rate for shipping, that's impossible with the varied weights and sizes I sell, but I can guarantee you that multiple purchases will be combined and a shipping cost sent before you have to hit the 'Buy' button.

Refunds and Exchanges

If you're unhappy with your purchase, I've done something wrong....I do my utmost to describe items as faithfully as possible, including sizes etc.
Make sure you read fully the description before buying - if you feel the item is not as 'advertised' then I'll refund you.

Additional Policies and FAQs

I do custom turning and woodwork. I have a fully equipped workshop, not only a couple of Lathes, but all sorts of woodworking machinery. Though I no longer make Furniture, I am willing to make most things, picture frames and clocks are an example. Message me for details.
