Welcome

My name is Laura Obiso - and there's where the LauraOh! name comes from. My parents started a small fabric remnant store the year I was born, which grew to be the largest fabric store in northwestern New Jersey long before I became a teenager. I have been sewing practically all my life, and I was encouraged from an early age to be an individual, and to nurture creativity.

I also have a love for bags of all kinds, so this, combined with my love of fabrics, is a natural for me. I take great care in creating each piece and see it as a work of art as well as something practical. I continually experiment with new design ideas and unique fabric combinations.

I don't use patterns when I construct a bag so each one is a little different. I use only the highest quality fabrics, threads and notions, and I enjoy experimenting with textures and designs.

You won't find a 'department store' line up of the same bags over and over at LauraOh! Designs. Each one is a unique creation and if I do repeat a bag using the same fabrics, there will always be some detail in design or fabric layout that will distinguish your bag from all the others.

My studio is located in southwest Florida, and is smoke and pet-free. I welcome custom orders and wholesale orders.

Payment

I accept Paypal, personal checks and USPS money orders. Items paid with Paypal are shipped within 2 days of payment. Items paid by personal check or USPS money orders will be shipped once the funds have cleared.

Paypal purchases that have not completed payment within 3 days will be considered void and cancelled unless you convo me.

Shipping

Bags are shipped within 48 hours of receipt of payment, and typically much faster.

SHIPPING METHODS:

Within the USA, all bags are shipped via USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. Bags are carefully packaged and boxed. Smaller accessories may be wrapped and shipped via padded envelope.

Orders going to Canada and other countries outside the USA are shipped via Global Priority International or First Class International mail.

I strive to keep shipping costs reasonable and accurate. Please remember that shipping costs include packaging and trips to the post office, so differences of less than $2 are not adjusted. If for some reason the actual shipping cost is more than $2 less than what you were charged, I will promptly refund the difference via Paypal.

Refunds and Exchanges

LauraOH! Designs products are made one at a time, by hand. I take pride in my work and my craftsmanship and want my customers to be totally satisfied with their purchase. All items are inspected before they are shipped. If you have a problem or complaint about a purchase, please convo me and we'll work out a reasonable solution. Refunds do not apply to items that are mistreated or damaged.

Additional Policies and FAQs

LauraOh!Designs handbags and accessories are constructed of fine quality fabrics and threads. Most quilting cottons are prewashed before construction. Designer decorator-weight fabrics should be spot-cleaned, as per manufacturer's instructions. I will always include cleaning instructions with your bag purchase.

I use Warm and Natural quilt batting in my bags, as it is very high quality and will not separate.

Reinforced and/or triple stitching, especially in handles and high-tension areas, is used on all bags.

My studio is smoke-free and pet-free.

CLEANING AND CARE:

While most of the fabrics are prewashed and preshrunk, I suggest that you spot-clean your bag for best results.

PRICING:

I try to keep my pricing fair and reasonable. Each piece is priced individually.

CUSTOM ORDERS:

Usually I do not reproduce an item exactly - this makes your bag unique. However, if you've seen something you really like that is no longer available, or if you have something specific in mind, please contact me. I'm happy to accept custom orders.
