bigdaydesigns's Shop Policies

Welcome

Thank you for considering bigdaydesigns to create your special artwork! As a one-woman show, I like to keep busy creating as many business cards, logos, stickers, or anything else you might need to market your business while always maintaining a professional, friendly relationship with my clients. As wonderful as it would be to work with all of you, below are some things to consider before asking to work with me:

Payment

I only accept PayPal as anything else seems like a major PITA :) If you do not have a PayPal account, please sign up for one. It will probably be the best thing you ever do in your online life.

★ I must receive payment before beginning any work.

★ Payment must be received within 7 days of purchase. If I don't receive your payment within 7 days, I will re-list the item for someone else's enjoyment.

Shipping

GRAPHICS
========

★ All graphic items will be emailed to you after completion. In most cases, the prices in my shop cover ONLY the graphic work, so I do most of my "shipping" that way.

PRINTED WORK
============

★ All printed items are outsourced through several trusted vendors. I am not responsible for delays in shipping once the graphic reach those vendors, but I will usually be able to provide you with a tracking number so you can see when the materials will arrive.

Refunds and Exchanges

Before purchasing a custom item from my shop, I am assuming you have read all disclaimers. This includes whether or not the price includes just the design, the printing, or how many copies the printing entails. If after I have started work on a custom item for you and you discover the terms of our exchange are not what you were expecting because you didn't read the disclaimer OR if you are not satisfied with the custom work I create for you, I will REQUIRE that I keep 15% of the charged fee. The rest will be sent back to you through PayPal. I don't want to put down my foot and throw a tantrum, but my time is valuable because I work full-time and have three other part-time jobs. If I spend time on a design for you, I need to be paid for that time. That being said, this is a rare situation, and we can all go back to being happy and enjoying etsy :)

RIGHTS

★ Unless otherwise noted, bigdaydesigns maintains all rights to the images you purchase. This means that my graphics can IN NO WAY be reproduced anywhere else. If you would like to use the design on something other than what you purchased, please contact me beforehand and we can work something out. Otherwise, I will pursue legal action.

ALCHEMY
========

★ I don't believe in spec work. Sorry! As fun as it would be to design nearly-completed drafts for everyone and add them to my portfolio (because I really do love coming up with concept designs), it is simply a waste of time to do so when I could be getting paid for other work. I don't mind bouncing ideas off of you, but please do not ask me to send you an image of what I'm thinking. In most cases, every time I have done that, the person then sends the artwork to their 12-year-old cousin with a pirated copy of Photoshop and has them [try to] recreate it for free. I will not support this.

The cheaper the price, the cheaper the quality! Trust a design professional; it's well worth it!
