ShadowCutter's Shop Policies

Welcome

Hi, welcome to my store. I hope you find something you like; if you don't, tell me what you're looking for or check back later, since I make new things as often as I can. You can also check my other store at www.shopit.com/shadowcutter. I generally make what I want and hope someone will like it, but I'm also happy to hear what people like and see if I can make it. I've been making these things for a few years but I've only just started seriously selling them, so please help me out by following my policies, and convo or email me if you have questions or requests. Thanks.

The ceramic hand I use as a model is 5-6 inches around the wrist, 3x3 in. across the back of the hand, finger circumference 2 inches.

Payment

Payment including shipping is needed on placement of the order, but after any size adjustments I make at your request. Such adjustments may affect the price, depending on amount of materials replaced. So please convo me for adjustments or additional details before placing your order. If you order something without convo-ing me about adjustments I will assume the sizes etc. mentioned in the item description is what you want and I will send the item as-is.
I accept PayPal as payment because it's safe, secure and easy.
You do not need a PayPal Account to pay for your items through PayPal: You can choose the PayPal Option during checkout. After you submit your order click the “Pay Now” button. Scroll Down and you will see the option to pay with a Credit or Debit Card WITHOUT having to sign up for a PayPal account.

Shipping

I ship with USPS Priority Mail and I include handling/packaging and delivery confirmation on all orders, plus insurance on all orders worth $50 or more. I will ship the item after adjustments and payments have been made on the next available weekday.

International shipping is not available yet, but I will offer it as soon as I can.

I may occasionally recycle or "upcycle" previously-used boxes or other packing material that are still in good condition. If you'd rather have new fresh packaging, just let me know in a convo.

Refunds and Exchanges

I will repair items damaged from normal wear. Please convo me before returning an item for repair to make sure the return is necessary, and refer to the care instructions under Additional Information as misuse does not count as normal wear. I will ask that the customer pays the shipping in returning the item for repair, and for replaced materials if applicable. Return shipping after repairs will be free.
Size adjustment requests are the customer's responsibility at purchase. However, if the item is a gift and size is unknown it can be returned for adjustment if the customer convos me at time of purchase to let me know that's the plan. No returns or refunds without convo.
Custom orders/alchemy items/ adjusted items are non-returnable, unless the only requested change in the custom order is for color.

Additional Policies and FAQs

Size adjustments (limited) are the only changes I will make to previously-made items, and most items cannot be duplicated
because I get my materials from all over the place and can often only find them once, but some exceptions can be made on request. Some chainmaille items similar to what I have can be requested with variations in color and size, most other chain handflowers cannot. I like to make unique one-of-a-kind handlfowers, but if you would like something similar to what I have but with some modifications I am happy to take custom order requests. A downpayment of %50 of the estimated custom item price will be required. Please convo me for requests and adjustments or email me at shadowcutterjewelry [!at] yahoo.com .

The handflowers I personally wear will not be duplicated.

Safe wear and care:

My jewelry is not intended primarily for children (age 12 and under).

All of my items are jewelry and not armor. My chainmaille is not protective and can break under strenuous circumstances. If it is treated as jewelry rather than armor it should last a long time (I've been wearing mine every day for about 8 years). Do not wear while playing with pets, playing sports, or operating machinery. You should also check with employers before wearing handflowers to work. If any part of a handflower or other chainmaille item does break or come apart it should be repairable with needle-nose or jewelry pliers, or can be returned for repair. If it gets dirty from frequent wear it can be cleaned with soap and water, and a soft toothbrush when necessary.
some of my jewelry has pewter charms. For info on care and cleaning of pewter go to http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/37655/cleaning_pewter.html?cat=7
other metals used are either copper, aluminum, or various base metal craft chain and findings.
