NightBird Designs offers beautiful & imaginative Corsets, Costumes & Couture for women who want to look elegant and feel comfortable.

My name is Inge and I live in Portland, Maine with my wonderful husband and lovely daughter. I like to design items that are graceful, playful, and sometimes, downright impish. I work with many types of materials, from cottons & silks to metals, vinyl and found-objects.

I have been creating clothing since I was eight years old and few things bring me more joy than seeing something that started as an idea in my head become an actual, beautiful object.

My corsets are sturdily constructed in three layers and supported with spiral-steel boning, which retains the desired, elegant corset shape, while allowing the wearer to move comfortably. Unlike regular steel boning, your movement will not be restricted; and unlike plastic boning, the spiral-steel will not acquire a permanent "kink" when bent. You'll be able to dance all night without pain and without worry that too much movement will destroy your lovely bodice. (Yes, this is the voice of experience speaking!)

Payment

I accept payment via PayPal, money order & check. Orders will be shipped after payment has cleared. Please be prompt; if payment is not received within 10 days of purchase, your order will be canceled.
Items purchased within the state of Maine are subject to 5% sales tax.

Shipping

Items are generally shipped U.S. Priority Mail, so you should receive your order 3 to 5 business days after shipment. International shipments may take longer, but usually will arrive within 10 business days. Shipping costs for international orders will be adjusted according to the actual cost.

Refunds and Exchanges

I want you to be as delighted with your items as I am making them. If you're not happy with an item, please contact me within a week of receipt & I will gladly arrange an exchange or refund.
