Kristie is a mother, wife, clothing designer and seamstress, painter and an artist of life.
She has taught herself how to design and sew and continues to learn how to transform her ideas onto fabric.
Living in the open landscape of the prairies, she has drawn on the beauties of nature for inspiration.
In the last seven years, Kristie has created ways to sell her textile work alongside various talented people.She has now embraced the world of creating and sharing amongst festivals and the web on her own; thus the birth of Velvet Plume.

Payment

Payments can be sent through Paypal to:

All Canadian customers have the option of sending payment through online banking with an Email Money Transfer.
International Money Orders are accepted, as long as they are received within a week of ordering.

Shipping

All packages are sent through Canada Post.
Shipping within Canada is sent by X-Press Post.
Shipping to the United States gives you two options:
Expedited (9 to 11 business days) and X-Press Post ( 5 - 6 business days).
Both of these shipping options are insurable and trackable.
Once your item has been sent, it is no longer the responsibility of Velvet Plume.

Refunds and Exchanges

All items are non-refundable.
An Exchange or credit will be issued within one year of your return.
Absolutely no returns will be accepted on Custom Orders or items that have been altered.
An item can be returned as long as an email is sent as soon as you receive your item and state the problem. The item will need to be returned right away by X-Press mail and be received unworn,unwashed and unscented.
Your return will grant you credit of the items total amount, excluding shipping and used towards a future purchase within one year of your return.

Additional Policies and FAQs

**If an item has been marked sold, that particular item is no longer available. All items are one-of-a-kind and cannot be duplicated.
**Once you have placed your order and have received your total amount with shipping options, your item will be held for 24 hours to receive payment. If payment or contact has not been made within 24 hours, your item will be put back up for sale.
**All fabric has been pre-shrunk before an item is created. Each piece is surged and either straight stitched or top stitched to ensure a long life. All applique work is bonded and intricately stitched for strength and viewing pleasure. Kristie takes great pride in her work and strives to create unique yet durable pieces of wearable art.
Please love your one-of-a-kind and wash gently in cold/lukewarm water and either hang or lie flat to dry.
