Welcome to Etc.Pontoufle! If this were a real brick-and-mortar store, I'd offer you some tea and let you lounge on a brocade love seat in the dressing room. The store would be decorated in a romantically steampunk-y way, and would smell like jasmine and tuberose.

Now that you've got a visual, hopefully it sounds like somewhere you'd like to shop :)

I make all of the designs I sell by hand, and each piece is one of a kind. Occasionally, I may have some "reclaimed" vintage for sale, which are made of vintage pieces that I have hand tailored or customized, and are still absolutely one of a kind. Much of the fabric that I use is vintage or overrun from design houses, and every piece is unique. I drape all of my original designs, so there is no pattern, and there will never be an identical finished product.

I have an educational and working background in fashion, so you can be sure that the construction of my pieces is sound and my pricing is fair.

Because all of my pieces are one of a kind, I am open to all kinds of custom orders, and would love to hear what it is that you are looking for, although my speciality is dresses :)

Payment

I prefer payment via Paypal -- it's fast, easy, and secure, which means that I can ship your item out sooner!

That being said, I also accept money orders and personal checks, and will ship the item as soon as the money order is recieved or personal check is depostited and cleared.

Shipping

I ship items Priority within the US, and generally first class for international buyers. I understand that international shipping may vary, so if the standard shipping rate is enough to cover Priority for internernational buyers, I will ship it Priority instead. For the most part, that only happens with lighter items and those shipping to Mexico or Canada.

If you happen to be in San Francisco or the Bay Area and want to come pick up your item in person, that's fine too! Just let me know, and I'll refund your shipping. The same holds true for custom orders -- If you're in the area, I'd be more than happy to have you come be fitted for your order to make sure that you love it as much as possible!

Refunds and Exchanges

Returns are accepted only for items that are damaged or misrepresented by me, which I assure you won't happen :)

If you are concerned about an item being damaged in the mail, let me know so that I can add insurance to your order.

If you change your mind about an order, let me know. I'm likely to let you exchange it for something else as long as you pay the shipping.
