Welcome

Having developed a bit of a reputation as a Christmas craft daredevil through a string of annual projects involving fire and/or some risk of explosion/combustion, I finally hit on a project where the product was actually more exciting than the process. My first soap-making adventure took place during the holiday season of 1998, and the reception was so positive that I have made soap every year since then in response to requests from friends and family. People started asking me far in advance which kinds of soap I'd be making this year and sneaking in subtle requests for some of their favorites from the year before. I love being able to give something personal, usable, easily shipped, and beautiful. My little enterprise has grown over the years to the point that I have decided for the first time this year to make my soaps available for purchase online. My experience tells me that this is a gift others will enjoying giving and receiving as much as I do, and widening my customer base will make it more feasible for me to acquire the volume of materials and ingredients needed to keep up with my ever-growing gift-giving list. Especially now that I am the mother of two small children, it's great to be able to make something right here at home that people are so happy to receive.
My soap is made from high quality, vegetable-based ingredients (the only exception being my milk soap). I never use animal fats and the only animals I test on are my family and friends. I test each soap to ensure that it meets my standard of a gentle pH level and superior lather. I hope you enjoy my soap so much that you want to share it with those you love.

Payment

I gladly accept and prefer payment via Paypal. If you would prefer to pay me by check please indicate that at checkout.
If you do not pay for your order immediately please contact me within 24 hours to indicate when and how you intend to pay. If you do not contact me I will cancel your order.
I will ship within 48 hours of your payment clearing.
You can cancel your order if I have not packed it, but please be aware that I strive to ship orders within a few hours of receiving payment.

Shipping

I always provide shipping confirmation.
By default I ship via Priority Mail. I charge $4.80 for the first bar and $.25 for each additional bar.
I will ship via First Class mail if you prefer. I charge $2.00 for the first bar and $1.00 for each additional bar. If you would like me to ship via First Class please indicate that when you place your order. I will send you an adjusted invoice total.
Local pickup is available for those of you who want to make the trek to my house in Ventura, California. If you would like to pick up your soap please indicate that when you place your order. I will send you an adjusted invoice total.

Refunds and Exchanges

Please return damaged items to me within 72 hours of receiving them for a full refund.

Additional Policies and FAQs

My soap has not been tested by the FDA and I make no claims as to the health benefits of products listed here. If you develop any skin sensitivities or rashes please discontinue use. These soaps are not for internal use. Soap may cause eye irritation. If you get soap in your eye please flush your eyes with clean water and seek medical treatment.
