Sartorial Steel: wearable metal from day gone by. I use the latest in modern alloy technology and the ancient and newly created mail weaves to make the past come alive!

Your complete satisfaction is my primary concern. I attempt to be as descriptive as possible about my creations to enable your informed purchase decision.

Most items in the shop will be resized to suit you at no extra cost--just convo me your details!

Payment

Payment by PalPal within a week of transaction completion.

Shipping

Shipping will be by standard Canada Post; upgrades are possible by convo. For purchases $40 and over, they will be shipped Xpresspost for the tracking number. Purchases totaling over $100 will be insured at the cost of the purchaser. The international purchaser is responsible for any duties or taxes levied by their customs officials. All shipping overcharges over $1 will be reimbursed.

Items will be well packaged with an eye on minimizing the cost of shipping. Larger items that require boxes will ship in brand new boxes. Convo me for the reused/recycled envelopes and boxes to avoid handling charges. Also convo me for gift wrapping options.

Refunds and Exchanges

The purchaser has three days from the receipt of the item to return it for a full purchase price refund, no questions asked. The purchaser will be responsible for shipping costs, and returns will require a tracking number to be eligible for a refund. I will repair or replace items damaged during shipping. I will not be responsible for items lost in transit unless they were shipped with a tracking number, so consider this shipping upgrade!

Some metals provoke allergic reactions in some individuals. If you have a metal allergy and see something you like, it can be remade in a hypoallergenic metal. If you had no idea you had such an allergy and get a reaction, I will accept your return and will work with you on its replacement or a full refund.

The rings making up the weaves used will not open during normal use. Armour grade mail will withstand SCA style combat without deformation. Aluminum rings, like any jewellery, can be opened should they get caught on something and pulled with sufficient force. Should your purchase fail through normal use, please convo me with details. I stand behind my products and will repair them free of charge.

Additional Policies and FAQs

All items can be remade with different metals. All items will be finished with a tumble polish, metal qualities allowing. Detailing, such as Swarovsky crystal drop pendants, can be added to any item for a modest fee. I accept custom orders, but note that this is a pass time of mine, to help me unwind from days at my high pressure job. Rest assured you will always receive my candid, honest evaluation of my ability to produce your most wanted metal item.

I stand by my products. Should your mail get damaged, broken, scratched, or tarnished beyond your ability to clean, please contact me for repairs or a good tumble cleaning (materials allowing).
