Bearcastle Crafts is Jeff and Isaac -- since 1992! We enjoy traditional crafts and making attractive, interesting, and useful things. Needlework and beadwork are our forte, but we continue to explore and try out new ideas and techniques.

For those who wonder, we actually sell crocheted doilies by weight ($0.50/gram), since that gives the most consistent gauge of how much time and material goes into each one. Occasionally we'll add a little bit if the design was particularly fussy.

Payment

Currently we ask for payment by credit card or PayPal; it streamlines the process for everyone and provides some security for the customer. Note that to pay by credit card you DO NOT have to have a PayPal account; just follow the instructions at the PayPal page.

Please contact us if you need to arrange payment by check or money order.

We happily accept custom orders with a 50% prepayment, balance due when the item is ready to ship.

Shipping

We generally estimate shipping as the price of first-class postage (U.S. Mail) by the weight of items, since most of our goods are small and light-weight. We include 25 cents for the cost of a comfy padded envelope for each item.

Please contact us if you wish to arrange for insurance, registered mail, shipping confirmation, shipping by other than first-class US mail, or shipping to locations outside the listed destinations.

If you are a local buyer and we can hand deliver an item, we'll refund the shipping charge.

Refunds and Exchanges

Generally we don't refund or exchange items unless the item you bought was misrepresented in some way. Please let us know within five days of receipt so we arrange a replacement or refund.

We cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged in shipping.

Additional Policies and FAQs

In the event that your item is eaten by one of our greyhounds before we can ship it, you get a full refund + 10% -- but this rarely happens.

If you see something you like and buy it from us, we want you to get what you liked seeing. We do our best to take photographs and write descriptions that describe each item as accurately as possible, but getting colors exactly right is a challenge and we might forget to mention something you find important.

If the item you receive is not the item you thought you ordered, please let us know within five days of receipt so we can replace the item or refund your money.
