dudeyarn's Shop Policies

Welcome

I love wool. I love to dye wool. Take a look at what I've got to offer the Dude in us all. Weather knitting or crocheting for the guy in your life, purchasing a present for a loved one, or just a fan of the colors I concoct, I hope you'll love the wool and colorways as much as I do.

I hand select the highest quality fiber possible from around the world. My dying process is earth friendly, color fast and energy efficient. I strive for a green process and hope that the fiber will appreciate my dedication to the environment.

Payment

I accept paypal, credit cards through paypal, personal checks (with a 10 day clearance time) and money orders.

Shipping

I generally prefer to ship USPS Flat Rate because in the long run, it is cheaper for the customer and the item arrives at its destination faster than first class mail. (Generally 2 - 3 business days depending on distance from Baltimore Maryland)

I'll be happy to ship any method you prefer, simple send me a message in a timely manner and I'll do my best to accommodate you. Additional shipping charges may apply if you choose not to use Flat Rate.

Refunds and Exchanges

I guarantee my yarn %100. If you are not happy for any reason, please contact me at dude [!at] dudeyarn.com within 10 days of delivery and I'll be happy to discuss options with you.

I want you completely satisfied with your purchase and will be happy to make arrangements with you regarding refunds, exchanges and such.

Additional Policies and FAQs

---A Word About Photos---
Please remember that monitor settings may vary, and while I strive to take accurate photos of products, your monitor settings may render color and texture differently than mine. I photograph using natural sunlight to represent Dude Yarn as close to real-life as possible. If you'd like a color sample, message me, and I'll see what I can do about sending you a little something.

---Dude Color---
Hand dyed yarns are great because they are colored by hand. Inconsistencies in color, texture and saturation are normal and expected in hand dying. During your first washing or blocking, some color may release during the rinsing process, this is normal. Don't worry, I test colorfastness in all my yarn and your colors will stay vibrant hand-wash after hand-wash. I do not dye in dye lots and unfortunately cannot reproduce colorways. Be sure to you purchase enough yardage for your project.

---Care of Your Wool---
All the yarn I dye is 100% wool and will felt if run through a washing machine. Gentle hand washing and blocking is recommended. I suggest using Dr. Bronners Castile soap for a natural earth-friendly wash.
