Welcome

All Copper Camel designs are pressed onto pre-1982 pennies. This is important, because prior to 1982, their composition was approximately 97% copper, and 3% zinc. In 1982, the percentages were roughly reversed--your coin is good copper.

The paints used are durable baked-on mica pigments, and shift with the light, giving them a wonderful depth of color which is difficult to photograph. Your coins can be cleaned, but as with any paint, no matter how tough, if you use something abrasive regularly, it will eventually wear off.

Paint takes 24 hours to cure before baking. If you make a custom order, I'll remind you of this.

If your piece has jump rings, check them periodically to make sure there is NO space between the ends. The tops of the pennies especially are very thin, and can slip right through any space between.

Copper is a living metal, always changing and reacting to its environment; it's going to oxidize. You can clean it if you prefer the bright new look, or enjoy how it evolves as you wear it.

Yes, it is a real penny.

Yes, it's legal, as long as you don't try to pass it off as real money. it isn't any more.

Payment

Please render payment within a reasonable amount of time. If it's going to be a couple days, please email me and let me know.

Paypal is perfectly fine, but if the payment is held for some reason, the item will not ship until the funds are released.

Due to rampant fraud on EBAY, all Paypal transfers will be removed from my bank account shortly after deposit. You dishonest people know why. Honest people, ignore this.

If you prefer to send a check, just let me know, and we'll make arrangements.

Shipping

Shipping is usually by USPS, and I've never had any problems with delivery. If the item is particularly pricey, or an elaborate custom, the package will be insured against loss and theft. If you prefer a different carrier, please let me know, and I'll research the prices and adjust your bill accordingly.

Refunds and Exchanges

All regular Etsy store sales are final, barring something getting mangled in the mail. If that happens, send me the mangled pieces and the original packaging, and I'll issue you a refund for your cost and the return shipping.

For custom work, I send stage-by-stage pictures, so you can make sure you're getting exactly what you wanted. No refunds will be given after final approval and shipping.

Additional Policies and FAQs

Don't dispair, international customers!

I don't list foreign destinations in the shipping prices, because each parcel has to be weighed, and I don't know how much to charge until I know where you are. Just contact me, and we'll go from there.
