I want your shopping experience with me to be as risk-free, trouble-free, and pleasant as possible, so please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.
~•~ IS YOUR PURCHASE A GIFT? ~•~
If your purchase is a gift, just let me know in the Notes to Seller or a separate convo and I will be happy to provide a gift box and a simple handmade, personalized gift tag. Please let me know what you would like the tag to say (10 words or less).
Please let me know if the item is to be sent to an address other than your Etsy address. If no other address is provided, I'll assume the Etsy address is the correct one for shipment.
Payment
~•~ PAYPAL AND CREDIT CARDS ~•~
Paypal and credit cards are accepted. You do not have to have a Paypal account in order to use your credit card. A really helpful article about the Etsy checkout process can be found at:

If you're unable, for some reason, to complete payment at the time you place your order, please be sure to contact me or leave a message in the 'Notes to Seller' section to let me know when I can expect the transaction to be finalized. My preference is to receive payment within five days of an order, but as long as we've agreed on a time frame I will reserve your order. Regardless, I won't ever cancel a sale without making several attempts to contact you through convo and email.
~•~ PERSONAL CHECKS ~•~
I no longer accept personal checks except for State Net employees and customers at Kim's Couture Designs in Sacramento. Please contact me if you have any questions about this.
Shipping
If your country is not listed specifically, then the shipping charge for "Everywhere Else" applies at checkout. However, once I calculate the correct cost to ship to you I will refund any overage, minus costs for packaging. I will also add your country to my shipping profile for future use.
If you purchase more than one item, an additional shipping fee is charged at checkout (you'll see this amount as "$$ if shipped with another item"), but I will refund any extra amount charged, minus costs for packaging, to reflect the actual total weight of your purchase.
Standard shipping to buyers within the U.S. is USPS First Class with Delivery Confirmation.
Standard shipping to international buyers is USPS First Class International, which unfortunately does not include tracking. Please also keep in mind that any customs or import fees are the responsibility of the Buyer.
Shipment is made within 48 hours of payment (with the possible exception of custom orders), Monday-Friday excluding holidays.

~•~ EXTRA FEES FOR INSURANCE AND/OR EXPEDITED SHIPPING ~•~
If you would like your package insured or shipping expedited I'll be happy to accommodate. Just let me know when you place your order and I'll send you an invoice for the additional fees.

U.S. orders over $100 I will pay for insurance.
To provide tracking for packages shipped to specified destinations outside the U.S. I can ship registered mail if requested at the time you order. The following USPS fee schedule applies:

However, to add insurance for international shipping requires that I ship either Express Mail or Priority Mail. If you are interested in adding insurance, please contact me and I will let you know the additional cost. A separate Paypal invoice will be sent to you following your order if you choose to add insurance.
~•~ STATE NET, SACRAMENTO ~•~
STATE NET, Sacramento employees always get free shipping if delivery can be made at the Sacramento office. Please be sure to add "State Net" in the notes to seller section at check out and, if you're using Paypal, I will refund the shipping costs. If you're paying by check I'll deduct the shipping and contact you with the total amount owed.
Refunds and Exchanges
~•~ BUY WITH CONFIDENCE: RETURN POLICY ~•~
If the jewelry you purchased doesn't turn out to be what you expected, please contact me within 7 days of receipt and I'll let you know where to send your return. The item must be returned in its original condition and placed in a padded envelope to protect it from damage. I will refund the purchase price, not including shipping fees, or give you store credit toward another purchase, whichever you prefer. Any gift bags, pouches or gifts I included with your original purchase are yours to keep.
~•~ GUARANTEE OF QUALITY ~•~
I guarantee my work so if your Countenance jewelry breaks under normal wearing conditions at any time, I will repair or replace it, no charge, and cover all shipping costs. Should breakage occur, please contact me as soon as possible and we will figure out the best course of action. My goal is to make sure each customer is happy with their purchase.
Additional Policies and FAQs
~•~ GOLD FILLED ~•~
If you prefer the look of gold, some items can also be made using gold filled components. Please send me a convo or email and we can discuss options and cost.
~•~ MAKING CHANGES TO EARRING WIRES OR CLASPS ~•~
If you prefer ear hooks or posts on an earring that I've made with lever backs, please let me know. I can almost always make this change. For an additional fee I can also swap out lever backs with clip-ons. Please contact me prior to ordering so I can let you know what the cost will be so we can make sure you'll be happy with your purchase.
If you'd like to have a clasp on a bracelet or necklace other than what is currently used, please contact me and I'll let you know what options are available and whether or not there are any additional fees for making the change. It varies item by item depending on style.
Please let me know if you'd like photos of the various styles available. I will be happy to send them to you.
~•~ LENGTH ADJUSTMENTS/MAKING CHANGES ~•~
If the advertised length of a bracelet or necklace isn't exactly right and adjustment options aren't stated in the item description, please contact me before ordering. Some of my jewelry designs I make only once. In these cases, what you see on Etsy is the one-of-a-kind item for sale, not a prototype.
When adjusting the length of a piece, unless otherwise specified, based on the amount of added materials and/or labor there may be a small extra charge, but I will always let you know up front if there are any added costs.
~•~ CUSTOM ORDERS ~•~
At Countenance Jewelry custom orders are always welcome.
Once we've come up with a specific design for you, I'll let you know what the cost will be and how long it will take me to finish the piece.
Payment in full is requested at the time of agreement prior to my beginning work on the jewelry. All Countenance Jewelry shipping and return policies apply.
Typically, I am able to ship your custom order within 48 hours after a design is agreed upon and payment is made, depending on degree of difficulty and whether or not what you want is part of my current stash (i.e., shopping may be involved) but I will let you know at the time you order what time frame is necessary to make sure it works for you.

Feedback is so important to me. If something isn't right I want to know about it and be given the opportunity to make it right, so please communicate with me about any problems or questions you may have with a purchase before leaving negative feedback. I will work with you to the best of my ability to ensure your satisfaction. And of course, positive feedback is always a thrill!
