Welcome

We want you to be equally satisfied with your items and the ordering process. We aim to be as hassle-free as possible.

How yardage is calculated: We measure out 10 yards of the yarn and weigh it in grams. Then, we divide 10 by the number of grams to obtain yards/gram. Then, we multiply by the number of grams in the skein.

Payment

We accept PayPal, RME (Revolution Money Exchange), personal check, or money order. We will hold your item(s) as soon as we receive the order, and will ship it as soon as we receive your payment. PayPal or RME are likely the options which will get your order on its way most quickly.

Your payment is expected within one week of your order (mailed payments postmarked, but we'll be in contact) unless you contact us to make other arrangements. If you let us know what your situation is, we're happy to be flexible. If we have not heard from you or received payment after one week, we will cancel your order.

Additionally, if you place an order and then change your mind, just let us know and we can cancel the order. See "Refunds and Exchanges" below for further order cancellation details.

Shipping

We mail all packages within 2 days of receiving payment and convo you to let you know your order is en route!

Domestic orders will be sent via First-Class or Priority Mail (depending on weight), which take at most 3 days in the continental US.

Orders elsewhere in the world will be sent via USPS First-Class International or Priority Mail International (depending on weight).

How shipping is calculated: We're not looking to make money off of shipping costs. We calculate them by weighing the yarn in a padded envelope and using that information with the USPS website's postage calculator. Domestic (US) shipping includes Delivery Confirmation, which allows basic online tracking of your package. Delivery Confirmation is not available internationally (this is how listed shipping costs to Canada can be the same as the US). Costs for shipping beyond the US or Canada are based on trying the same weights for several different countries. With the exception of Mexico, differences in cost were within $0.25 of each other, so it seemed more efficient to have a single international shipping option.

Most packages are shipped in recycled packaging because that's another big way that being green overlaps with being cheap. If you're here, you probably understand.

Your invoice and yarn wrapper will be printed on previously used on one side paper for similar reasons.

Refunds and Exchanges

If you decide you are not happy with your items after receiving them and would like to return them, let us know and we will work something out. In all cases, canceling or returning an order will cost you no more than it costs us.

We will refund the cost of the item (-fees) as soon as we receive it. You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping (which balances out our shipping cost).

If you place an order but change your mind before paying, let us know and we can cancel the order. This doesn't cost us anything, so it doesn't cost you anything.

If you place an order and change your mind after paying but before it arrives, let us know IMMEDIATELY. If you catch us before we ship, we can refund your payment (including shipping cost) minus the Etsy commission, PayPal commission (if applicable), and a $0.20 relisting fee.
