Welcome to Chivalry, and thank you for taking the time to read our shop policies.

Our designs aspire to be timeless, refined and unpretentious. Every piece of jewellery in our store is handmade individually with love.

The name Chivalry was inspired by a friend of mine who was recently engaged while being on her way to becoming an accomplished Chemist. Rather than allowing her fiancé to spoil her with an exorbitant diamond ring, she took responsibility for hers and his engagement rings, making ethically and financially informed choices to arrive at something truly meaningful and self-expressive. I admire women like her who are strong and beautiful and choose to wear the kind of jewellery that reflects who they are. Chivalry, and the days of depending on someone else to buy jewellery for us may be dead, but self-respect, self-gallantry and self-indulgence is very much alive.

Payment

Payment is to be made within 3 days of purchase or the order will be cancelled. If you need special consideration for payment, please let me know in advance.

INTERNATIONAL PATRONS
Payment can be accepted via PayPal for International buyers. Don't have a PayPal account? You can also select the option to just pay with your credit or bank card without opening an account on PayPal's secure page.

AUSTRALIAN PATRONS
Payment can be accepted via Payal or direct deposit for Australian buyers. If you would like to pay via a direct deposit, please select "Other" for the payment option at the checkout, and make a note in "Message to Seller" that you would like to pay via direct deposit, and I will send you my bank details. Additionally, I will provide you with your item amount converted in Australian dollars so there is no confusion on how much you need to transfer.

Shipping

I am happy to combine multiple purchases and ship to any country. I post all packages on Tuesdays and Fridays, but if there is a particular order that you need to have posted immediately, let me know in the "Message to Seller" and I will do my best to accommodate.

Items posted within Australia takes approximately 2-4 days to arrive, depending on where you live.

Delivery times to International buyers can vary from 5-20 working days. All parcels are shipped by Air Mail. Please keep in mind that you will also be responsible for any fees, taxes or duties charged by your country and its postal service.

In the instance you need expedited shipping, or desire postage insurance or tracking, simply 'convo' me by clicking "contact chivalryisalive" on the sidebar and I will do my best to arrange those services. I will then amend the total cost to reflect the new shipping charges for you before you send payment.

Refunds and Exchanges

I love my work and your satisfaction with the quality of the product means a lot to me. If the items are damaged upon arrival, please take a clear photograph of my product and email it to me immediately upon discovery of the damage. I will replace the item when I have received the item back in its original packaging safely and soundly. Please keep in mind that I will need you to bear the delivery costs in sending the damaged item back to me, however, I will bear all the costs involved in shipping the replacement back to you. I will always try to be understanding and accommodating to your situation, but it will also be at my discretion whether or not I will honour this policy if I feel the request has been made after an unreasonable period of time.

If your parcel gets lost, let me know as soon as it's exceeded its expected delivery time.

In consideration of hygiene, I will not exchange earrings due to change of mind. For necklaces and other items however, I will be happy to issue store credit for the item's original price (excluding shipping and handling) if it is received back intact within one week of your purchase for Australian buyers, and 2 weeks for International buyers.

Additional Policies and FAQs

JEWELLERY CARE
I like to use sterling silver, 14K gold-filled or copper-plated brass whenever possible. My beads are usually Swarovski crystal or Czech fire-polished glass. I seldom use acrylic. When I use other materials, I will state them in the item description.
If you purchase one of my silver pieces, do be mindful that it can tarnish, which is a natural chemical reaction to chemicals in the atmosphere that appears as a thin layer over the metal. Light tarnishing can be removed by gently rubbing the surface of the silver with a clean cloth.
Please be gentle with earring posts, catches and clasps as excessive force can bend or even break the metal. Crystal and glass beads and gemstones can also scratch, crack or chip if abraded or dropped. Contact with perfume, hairspray, chlorinated and salt water, and harsh cleaning products should be avoided whenever possible.

SALMON
While Chivalry's stock comes from a smoke-free home, I do live with a lively and rambunctious cat who occasionally likes to inspect my jewellery. If you do have allergies to cats, please advise me and I can ensure your pieces are specially created for you, packed and shipped in a cat-free zone.

Wholesale enquiries by galleries and boutiques from anywhere in the world are most welcome.

Presently, we are not interested in requests for trade.
