i believe in simple, beautiful things that last, and although i sometimes wish they were less costly, i understand the worth of something made well and made by hand.

Payment

this shop accepts paypal; payment is due within one day of purchase. please contact me if you have a request or circumstance - perhaps i can help.

Shipping

shipping is with canada post air, and all items are sent as small packets, which has a delivery standard of 6-14 days. however, i find it takes 6-14 days for most orders to reach international locations, but it can take up to four weeks (although this is very unusual). please understand that customs between canada and the u.s. can delay shipping, and that this is not in my control, though i will help however i can. contact me if you have concerns.

canada post's shipping options do not include international tracking or delivery confirmation for a small fee and are only offered with express shipping; contact me if you would prefer this option. all packages are insured.

because of the high shipping cost within canada and the negligible difference between regular shipping and xpresspost, I usually bump canadian orders up to xpresspost shipping - which means they arrive in 2-3 days!

fair-trade gold and silver:

* although i believe in the ethics of fair-trade silver and vermeil craft, i think that there is always a risk when working with other far-away countries with poor records of safe and fair practices, so i have asked a lot of questions. i have gotten to know the owners of the company i purchase all of my fair-trade pieces from. they are certified members of the fair trade federation and work in partnership with the karen villagers of natsai in northwestern thailand. i have been so happy with their quality and their transparency, respect, and truly fair methods, working with local thai hill tribe artisans for 20 years to help sustainably secure their way of life and thrive under fair trade regulations. if you'd like to know more or have any questions, just send me a message.
