My name is Jenn and I am a stay-at-home mom who makes cloth pads in my spare time. I'm not a big company. I'm not a coop. I'm just me. :) I got into making pads in 2006 because I was already making cloth diapers for my baby. A friend introduced me to the idea of cloth pads and when my sister complained of issues related to disposables, well, I decided to sew her up some pads. And the rest, as they say, is history!

I like making pads. I like designing them. I like figuring how to get the best fit for every body type and pad issue (though I know there is no one pad for every body). I like to make my pads unique. I strive to make them beautiful. It's the creation aspect that drives me. That's why most of Matersum pads are one-of-a-kind. When you choose a Matersum pad, you can be virtually sure there isn't another one in existence!

Payment

I accept Paypal funds only, but you do not need a Paypal account to purchase from Matersum. Follow the steps at checkout and use your credit card or an eCheck!

Payment is expected within 48 hours of purchase. After 72 hours, if no contact has been made by the buyer, the sale will be canceled and negative feedback left.

I SHIP ONLY TO YOUR PAYPAL ADDRESS. It is up to YOU to contact ME if you want your item shipped to an address other than your Paypal one. I prefer to ship to confirmed Paypal addresses only, this protects you and me. Should I choose to ship to a non-confirmed address, I do so at your risk. I have never lost a package, but I don't want to start.

Shipping

My CanadaPost post office is a 20 minute walk away. My toddler and I usually stroll Saturdays to drop off our packages. Please understand that I cannot ship more often than this.

Most packages (under 100g) are sent Lettermail (7-10 days on average, sometimes as little as 4 days and possibly as long as 21 days).

Lettermail does not include insurance or DC. If you would like these, please contact me prior to purchase.

Refunds and Exchanges

Due to the intimate nature of my lovelies, I cannot accept returns. If you are unhappy with your Matersum pad, please contact me to see if we can work something out.

A note on Feedback: If you want feedback in a timely manner, contact me letting me know that you've received your order.

As a small hobby business, I do not accept wholesale orders. Thank you.

Items come from a smoke-free, but one-kitty-friendly household.

I accept custom orders on a sporadic basis.

Boutique Matersum reusable cloth menstrual pads are made from all-new materials (unless otherwise stated) that have been pre-washed and dried in hot to help with sizing. Therefore, flannels and other fabrics tend to already be fluffy when you get them. Nevertheless, I recommend washing all pads before use.

Everything is made from my own patterns which I have developed over time through trial and error. I put a lot of effort into working out what I thought was the perfect shape and absorbency. Since this is how I make my living, these are for personal use only.
