Welcome to Sweet Meats! My store has been around since 2005, and focuses on delivering high-quality handmade items and customer service, while remaining a socially and environmentally responsible business. I'm always open to feedback, so please let me know if I can make your experience better in any way.

Payment

Payment is due within two weeks of purchasing an item or it will be relisted. Items do not ship until payment is received. In the case of eChecks, items do not ship until the eCheck has cleared.

I accept Paypal, money orders and cash (at your own peril). Paypal is my preferred method of payment. Note that you can also pay at Paypal with a regular credit card, without opening a Paypal account. To pay with anything other than Paypal, please Convo me and I will respond with my mailing address.

Shipping

By default, all items are shipped using the least expensive shipping method available. Usually this is USPS First Class mail, which is not automatically insured or tracked. If you would like to upgrade your shipping to Priority, Express, etc. or would like to add Delivery Confirmation or insurance, please convo me BEFORE you buy the item. I will respond with the difference in cost, which, if you approve it, will be billed to your e-mail adddress via Paypal. The item will ship only after the Etsy bill and extra shipping charges have been paid. For Express items, I try to ship the very next day, but sometimes life happens and I can't make it to the post office, so I can't make any guarantees. If you are concerned about when an item will arrive, Convo me ahead of time to make sure I will be able to send it when you need it. I'm usually very accommodating.

Once an item leaves my hands it is the full responsibility of the Postal Service. I cannot track it down or expedite it any better than you can. I cannot be held responsible for unexpected shipping delays caused by the post office and will not refund the shipping fee or the cost of the item in these cases. Please also remember that most transit time estimates are just that--estimates. There are no guarantees.

I make absolutely no money off of shipping charges, so please don't ask me to reduce them. I only charge exactly what it costs to get each item to you efficiently and safely. I package everything in re-used or 100% recycled materials, which is environmentally friendly and keeps shipping costs down.

I ship approximately twice a week during non-holiday periods, and 3-4 times a week before holidays, but my schedule is not totally regular. Please notify me if you need something shipped right away.

Refunds and Exchanges

Please remember, insurance is your responsibility! I cannot take responsibility for items damaged in transit by the post office.

I accept returns on undamaged items in original condition, minus my shipping cost. For plush toys, this means they can not come back to me smelling like smoke. If your item was damaged in transit, I will replace it if it was insured. If your item was not insured but is relatively small/inexpensive, just send me the item (or a photo of it) and I'll send you a replacement. The same goes for items found to be defective in some way (though this has never happened).

If I no longer have a replacement for what you ordered, you will receive a credit in the original dollar amount for any other item in my shop.

Additional Policies and FAQs

Gift wrap is always free. Small items get wrapped in tissue paper. Large items (like plush toys and t-shirts) get "deli wrapped" in butcher paper with a deli sticker. Just convo me or leave it in the notes to seller.

The price you see is the price you get. Please don't try to haggle me.

Yes, I can do custom plush. In any shape or size. My rate is $25/hr. for both design and construction, plus cost of materials.
