How the Showcase works
Showcase is Etsy's cooperative advertising program. By purchasing a 24 hour spot in the Showcase, Etsy sellers show off their featured items to help boost sales and shop awareness. Sellers can purchase spots in one or more of the many showcases throughout Etsy.

The main showcase is linked from the front page of Etsy year-round. It is also linked on the Buy page, accessible from every page in the website. The Storque Showcase appears on the front page of The Storque, Etsy's e-zine.

Category showcases display on the first page of select categories. Items in a category showcase must be from within that category. They are currently available for every category.

Step 2: Pick a showcase

Purchase each 24 hour Showcase spot individually. You can have spots in multiple Showcases, but only one spot per individual Showcase each day.
Step 2
Step 3: Select an available day

The list of available dates for a Showcase are shown in the drop-down menu, along with the number of spots left.
Step 3
Step 4: Purchase your spot

Review your choice to make sure you've selected the day and Showcase you would like. If everything is correct, click "Purchase Spot".

If you wish you can repeat steps 1-4 to purchase additional spots.

After you purchase a Showcase spot, it will appear on your Etsy bill. The date of the Showcase will appear in gray beneath the title.
Step 4
Step 5: Arrange your featured items

Each Showcase spot has its own list of items to feature. When you purchase a spot in a Showcase, your 10 most recently listed items will be added. All your showcase spots can be managed from the Showcase page in Your Etsy. You may remove items from the list if you do not want them featured. Add any others you want to feature by entering the item's listing id in the text box and clicking the add button. Use the Up and Down buttons to rearrange your items in the list.

Category showcase spots will only accept items from within each category, i.e. you can't add an item with "Housewares" as the category to the "Plants and Edibles" showcase.

FAQ

What currency is the fee in?
US Dollars.

What time zone determines the twenty-four hours of the day?
Eastern Daylight Time in the USA. This is GMT -4:00

Can I cancel a spot after I've made a reservation? Are the fees refunded?
We will only cancel and refund spots under very special circumstances. Deciding you are no longer interested in the spot you purchased does not count. If you feel you have a valid case please email support@etsy.com.

Where's my Showcase?
Make sure you are checking the correct Showcase. You can find your Showcase spots on the Your Etsy page; click on the "Showcase" link under the Money heading in the left hand column. This is also where you can organize a killer line up for your Showcase.

OK, but I'm not seeing my listing there....
If you are viewing the Showcase on your spot's day, but you aren't seeing one of your listings, try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then restart your browser. It is often an issue of stored internet information and don't worry, other users are checking out your item and shop!

I have two accounts, I purchased a Showcase in the wrong account, can I get a refund?
We're really sorry, but just as with listings, we can't offer refunds or exchanges for Showcase spots purchased in the wrong account. So an extra reminder to those of you with multiple accounts, double check which account you're logged into before you purchase showcase spots!

Are the Showcase limits per individual account or per human user?
If you have multiple shops, each account is allowed the maximum number of Showcases:
Main Showcase: up to 2 spots every 2 weeks
Storque/Gift Guide: up to 2 spots every 2 weeks
Category showcases: one slot per day per category

What happens when the site is taken down for maintenance and I am in the Showcase?
You will be given bonus time to make up for the trouble.

What happens when an item being displayed sells?
The Showcase pulls up the next Featured Item in your shop, then the next, then the next. If all your featured items sell and you do not add more, the Showcase will randomly pull another item from your shop. This random item will change each time the Showcase is loaded.

If you have purchased a spot in a Category Showcase and have no more items for sale in that category, a blank space will appear.

What types of items are allowed in Category Showcases?
The Category (first tag) of your item must be the one your item best fits, as determined by what it is. For example, jewelry should be in the Jewelry Category, not the Art Category. If your item is in the incorrect Category, it may be removed from that Category, and thus from the Showcase. We can't offer refunds in these cases, so please make sure your items are correctly categorized before buying a Category Showcase. If your items don't fit into a Category Showcase, you may consider a spot in the Main Showcase or Storque Showcase. If you're not sure, email support@etsy.com before purchasing a spot, and we'll be glad to help you out!

Any tips for using the showcase?
Other than featuring great handmade goods, be sure to take beautiful, clear photographs of your items. Having an outstanding image can really help sell an item.

Pick a Showcase date when you will have several opportunities to check on your listings. If your featured items sell, be ready to select new items, otherwise, the Showcase will randomly select one of your other listings. Also, if you like to ship on particular days of the week, it may be best to schedule Showcases conveniently around this day.

Be sure to have your items organized and ready for packing and shipping, this will help if you have a bunch of orders after your Showcase spot. Taking care of the new orders quickly can do a lot you keep your business running smoothly.
