Nothing is more heartwarming than a glowering, seething and outraged kitty in a cute handmade sweater. Here are some of my favorite Etsy items to best humiliate your adorable wittle snoogums this winter (and keep your pet warm and toasty, too).

i have been informed by the 4 furry maniacs who own me that cat
are naturally fashionable and do not need any lily-gilding on pain of a severe eyeball scratching at 2am.
(that said, these cats are cute!)

Dogs carry off clothing better tho, literally in some cases. They're just so happy that their humans are paying them attention, you can put anything on them.
Cats are aristocratic, clothing is an insult. They look good in jewelry tho, wearing glittery necklaces very well!

I have three furry beauties, and while none of them would stand for it, those kitties are just GORGEOUS! And while I love doggies too, there's no question cats are more stylish...something about their blithe indifference - they're just so fine.

Cats, totally. Ours don't mind being dressed at all, or harnessed. All but mama were born in the playhouse of our daycare, lol. There's nothing like watching our normally oh-so-high-and-mighty-and proud felines allowing the children to dress and bonnet them, put them in a push cart, tuck a blankey around them and wheel them around, cradle them, feed them, etc.. XP

Cats don't really need clothes, but the ones who tolerate them are soooo cute. Of my three, one likes to be tucked in with blankets in the winter. He has his own doll crib and blankets. He also demands to be dried off when he comes in out of the rain, then walks around with the hand towel on his back! The other two would be insulted. Miss Lydia might go for jewelry, she steals anything bright and shiny! Dogs, on the other hand, will put up with most anything! I vote for cats!!

Kitties are the obvious choice -- they rule not only for their ultimate cuteness, but because they love to help us out when we are crafting. How many dogs chase after balls of yarn or hold down partially made quilts/blankets/scarves/patterns/etc?

I vote for dogs and Obama! Clothes on cats is not natural! They know it and they let us know it! Cats are beautiful in their own special way and should be respected for that. Leave the clothes for the chihuahuas! My golden retriever doesn't like clothes on her either!

My cat, Stella, informs me her luxurious fur coat suits her best, thank you very much. Oh, well. It's still fun to look at these great items--LOVE the Moforiot sweater (and the little kitty, too)!

my kitty, stub, is paralyzed in her back legs. to prevent chafed knees from dragging around the house, we have tried making her wear socks, aprons, cardboard TP tubes, and my favorite, tiny osh kosh overalls!
she hated them all. but we're still voting for cats, purely for their natural superiority in all things fuzzy. and i may still try the leg warmer idea...

Cats definitely look funnier in sweaters than dogs (I'm allowed to say that--my backyard is home to 12 cats!); but even so, I think they have better all-around fashion tastes. So I'm going for cats!

I vote cats. They are so dignified. We had a dog who used to LOVE to dress up--would literally beg for it. How is one supposed to derive any selfish pleasure from that?! I much prefer adorning our cats and seeing their expressions of astonishment!

Okay, I have both dogs and cats, so I have had the opportunity to very carefully way the options, and I have to say DOGS are approximately 1 million times more fun to dress up. Seriously. When the terrier is misbehaving we put her in her snow white costume as punishment. Can't beat that for entertainment!

We recently adopted a feral stray.. I tried putting a cut off corner of a sheet on her head as hat one day and she looked at me like I was the Devil incarnate. She is hesitant to step foot in the sewing room while I am working there now.. har har.. The Cat in my avatar Loved to dress up.. she was huge and we made her a little girdle that she didn't particularly care for but would hold still and tolerate the odd hat or scarf. I once taped Bugles corn snacks to her head as horns.. she went for 3 hours with them on until she got hungry and decided she would be good for a snack.. silly cat!!

How did they keep the kitty leg warmers on that kitty? Or better yet, how did they get them on in the first place...I can't even get my cat to wear a collar much less anything else except his Santa Paws costume for Christmas. The pair of ducks that is the kitties expressions makes them soooo much more fashionable then goggies. Goggies are too eager to please!

MEOW!!! I dressed my since passed cats with rabbit ears for Easter: they did not appreciate the thought. Poor Ebony was my black cat accent for my witch one year...that did not play well either. Farooq lovesd his sweater as the cancer progressed and he lost his fur. My 2 boys now, Micio and Tybalt, have informed me they would not stand for this dressing in costume, but i love them more and more each day. They are my best boys ever and I have to side with cats.

Well, naturally cats are uncomfortable with anything on them (or some of them are too polite to let you know it ). The dogs are as well. It is our own childhood extension, isn't it? ;) But for identification some additions are rather handy if it doesn't affect mobility.
