Halloween Party Duel: Dark and Gory Haunted House

Party Duel Time! Storque admin Teenangster and Vanessa have faced off to fantasize about two vastly different types of parties, and we want you, our readers, to decide which party you'd rather attend — a sweet and childish party for the kids with plenty of candy and good times for all, or a scary haunted house with dripping blood, spider webs and monsters around every corner! Your comments will decide in this edition of the Party Duel!

Halloween is all about ghosts and hobgoblins gallivanting through the night, scary costumes, monsters and the joy of a good fright. This Halloween, I plan on throwing the most dark and gory bash imaginable! This party would be all about out-doing your fellow guest, with cobwebs scattered about, skeletons dropping from the ceiling, a veritable soundtrack of screams and creaky noises, fake blood, open wounds and all the creepiness that years of watching The X-Files brings. (Extra points if you come as El Chupacabra!)

Halloween only comes once a year, so all bets are off when it comes to giving a scare! Let's run around in the dark and make like ghosts all night long!

The best day out of the year is Halloween! Our house and yard are turned into a big Haunted House for the neighborhood to enjoy. I say a party can be both.Pass thru this wacked out nightmare to find a fun happy party with all the sugar you could dream of. He he he !!!

Dark and gory for sure! Candy is fine for the kiddos, but you can't beat a grown-up Halloween party. It's my favorite holiday of the year!

Halloween is my favorite adult holiday there is.

The scariest X-Files ever was the one with the family of inbreds. We tried to figure out how to be them for Halloween, but even we were too creeped out.

We have a rule that the kids can dress up silly all year, but when it comes to Halloween there are a few family standards that we stick to:
1. Their costume must be scary, spooky, creepy, frightening, etc...
2. They cannot take a general costume, add a little blood, and add the word "dead" at the beginning of the costume name. (example: dead football player)
3. They can not wear the same costume 2 years in a row.

We do not judge the costume choices that our friends make, but we stick to our Halloween ethics.

I'm tired of the "let's wear a skeleton t-shirt and drink till we puke" mentality that most Halloween parting adults have. Let's bring the gore back!
My friends and I just threw a Zombie High school slasher prom...their was not a "blood" free person that left that party...we were even eating jello gore with our hands...hahaha man we even made a bloodied prom background for pictures and undead memories!
