What Are You Thankful For in 2008?

We are thankful for the over 30,000 people who have pledged to Buy Handmade. We all owe a huge debt of gratitude to our community — to all those members who tell their friends and family about the importance of supporting indie artists and spreading the Etsy love. We're thankful there's an alternative to shopping at big box stores.

In the past 14 months of this blog's existence, close to 600 people have authored posts — we salute you! We want to give a shout-out to all the folks who post comments here and give us editors feedback — especially dogties!

We want to thank all the talented artists and crafters and the style mavens with great taste (you know who you are and you know we're watching your favorites). Thank you for being so amazing and providing us with an endless supply of beauty, creativity, and playfulness — we'll never run out of stories to share.

I am very thankful that I discovered Etsy this year, and sooooo thankful for all that Etsy is and the difference Etsy makes in so many lives. If not for Etsy I wouldn't have had the opportunity to find so many wonderful and unique items that I have brought into my life. Thank you all!

In regards to Etsy, I am most thankful for the opportunity to have met some wonderful people through my shop and on the site as a whole, that I would have not met otherwise. It is through this site that I have met these people and it is through these people that I have continued to remember why I am thankful!!!

I am new to etsy but I have already heard from several people who have visited my shop and took the time to say hi or tell me that they like my stuff.
