Question # 7 doesn't have a radio button for "Other" so if you just type in the box, it won't accept that answer.
herflyinghorses
Yeah, went to take the survey and Canada isn't included. Also, I really hope that this survey isn't research for an in house payment system!
ptitebaloue
Just completed it... and was wondering too why Canada is not in the country list ?
minouette
Also thought it was odd that Canada wasn't on the list. After US sellers, isn't Canada the second largest group?
BobbiThisnThat
First time I've seen Canada being included in "other", but ok:)
OffTheHooks
yeah I'm in Canada too and I don't see it on the list! (glad its not just me!)
stupidpuppy
yeah haha, somewhat weird we've been forgotten this time around. o.O
trapperjane
Please add Canada to the otherwise long, long list equally important countries.
organikx
it's a little bizarre that canada isn't on the list of countries
dragonhouseofyuen
thanks for the survery, interesting questions and I hope that all sellers, and buyers can be accomodated with their most suitable form of payment process.
oldworldprimitives
Thank you for offering this survey! Just when I had been wishing for more payment options on Etsy. :)
novadesigns
thanks for the survey. I look forward to seeing the outcome!
RockisSupplies
Bada bang, bada boom - done! Interested in seeing the outcome - thanks!

Done!--but I need more info on other payment types. I'm only familiar with Paypal. Thanks!
I see our good friend Canada is there now--Yeah!

SO glad Etsy is considering other payment methods. I love my Google Checkout.. and even though it's SO not integrated here, I still get people using it. *crosses fingers*
LadybugLimited
Done-- I'd love to find out about anything widely used that has lower fees than PayPal...
breadandroses
Finally! I'd just about given up on Etsy considering using Google Checkout as an integrated payment option. I was assured that Paypal would absolutely NOT be used, but alas it's turned out quite the opposite.
Google Checkout saves sellers a bundle in fees. Buyers want it to be integrated into Etsy so it's easier to purchase & pay quickly. PLEASE integrate Google Checkout into order form asap. Thanks for this survey!

I love paypal, but would welcome other payment systems IF I am not forced to use some I don't care to sign up for. I've been using payapl since 2000, and in all seriousness, I'll never use another method if I don't get the same coverage as a buyer under their protection program. As a seller, I've been well protected too and that means a great deal to me.
Google might be great, I've never signed up for it, but so far, I am not impressed the Amazon system on another site.
RMS, ProPay and the others, no way!
lucybluestudio
My only thought on Paypal is that it is so familiar. Customers like buying online to be easy and a lot more people have Paypal accounts than any other kind. As a seller, I see the value in offering other systems and would love a cheaper alternative but I can't dispute Paypal's market share or protection against sales gone wrong.
jewelrybyallison
I did it! Can't wait to hear the results and see what the changes are.
beckydesigns
I do think the paypal fees add up too fast, but I have to agree with lucybluestudio on it's familiarity. And I know I have never had a problem with receiving a refund from them when necessary.
RSSDesignsInFiber
Did the survey - I like Google in general, so I think having Google Checkout really supported through ETSY might be really good.

Last time I checked, as a Canadian I can't use most of those non-Paypal options (maybe all, there were a few new to me)... bummer.
autumnsarrival
I have used paypal for years and the fees just bug me to death! They really add up quickly and I really feel like I'm being robbed every time I have to pay a fee for a sale- heck- they don't make the items, we do! We need less fees!! Thanks for the survey!
grandpagrandmasattic
I've always paid with my PayPal CC. So this won't make much difference for me. But for those that don't have one...it should make sellers happy. Much faster I would guess than the "old way". Susan :)
anothertimeantiques
Done. But, slapped again.....right at question #3 - did you think only art form vendors would reply to the survey? You have such a way of making me feel like sneaking in the back door all the time!
Everyone seems to be buzzing about the google checkout. I don't have an account just yet but am adding it for some other venues so would love to see it here too.
pinksupply
I just took the survey. I use the paypal and the fees are high. Without it though I wouldn't be in business. I use paypal for my students to sign up for classes and workshops too. If there were a cheaper and reliable other form of payment I would be willing to use it. Thank you for getting sellers input. In the last month I've had four transactions not show up from paypal for one reason or another, I think there was a glitch in their site. x0x0PINK
pinksupply
Do you have to sign up to have a google check out? Hmm, now I'm going to have to go do some research!
CLineCreations
Done! Will be interested in learning about other payment methods... haven't really looked into any others besides Paypal and maybe Propay.
kimonomyhome
I just joined ETSY a few weeks ago. How do I tell if anyone has even looked at my kimono, obi runners and handmade jewelry I have listed on my new site?
KreatedbyKarina
Just completed the survey---thanks for asking for our imput!
ellecools
Just did it. I hope either Etsy sticks with International pay systems or Google Checkout goes International..or at least goes Canadian!
VintageFairRetroRare
I agree that canada should be included. We are many and need to be included in this type of data gathering!
RomeoEnvy
Done! Interesting survey, I'll have to look up more about google checkout.
addtwist
I'm wondering what fees are related with Google Checkout? I never thought about it before. Anyone have a link with info?
RoyalPrincess
Me too, i have not used google check out.. will have to look that up..
bhangtiez
i don't think I'm qualified...seeing as I have not sold anything yet...but thanks 4 asking...i luv surveys!!!
asundrynotion
Ellecools, Google Checkout does accept payments from international buyers. That's the only payment form I accept from buyers outside the U.S. Buyers & sellers both have protection, too. It's a great service, reliable & so much less expensive than Paypal.
PennyFabricArt
In your selections of where we sell our work, you did not include an option for Art Galleries/Museum Shows. That's where I sell a lot of my work.
I selected Boutiques as a sort of alternative meaning, but that may be misleading. You've got a big art category here, so maybe a lot of sellers also sell at art galleries and/or museum shows.
ZenDotStudio
When will we see the results of the survey. It will be interesting to see what conclusions Etsy comes to and if changes are made as a result of the survey. I have a questions that's sort of related to payment. If I accept Canadian funds at par from my fellow Canucks, I assume Etsy charges me their commission in US dollars without adjusting? Pay pal will adjust this I believe?? Anyone have the Etsy answer for this?
CasualDesignsbyJBS
Just done...I'm looking forward to see the result of this survey.
lilbooandco
Done! Thanks for informing us on other methods of payment...good to know!
FrucciDesign
done...but I'd have a little remark about the options for the question where you sell your work, I would suggest adding galleries.
retrothreadz
Interesting poll on payments, would be nice to have something cheaper than paypal... What about coming up with a solution for a shipping calculator so different rates for different states. Its hard to explain to Ohio why their shipping rate is the same as California it would be nice to have some variety for shipping!!!
DernierCriDesigns
I thought the survey was great and very thought provoking.
I have just tried comparing the fees of Paypal and Google checkout, for the UK they are both very similar. It seems to be the change of currency that they don't like
voleurdebijoux
Thank you for asking our inputs regarding other payment options. I like PayPal....but it would be great to have other payment options available that would cost us less in fees. :)
PiedCrow
It says the survey is currently closed? Poo, I wanted to be involved!
SalvagedExpression
I'm really impressed that opinions are being solicited from the community. Makes me love etsy all the more!
