these are great stats, I know personally that my March was close to my December in terms of numbers, glad to see it was site wide.

Its good to know that when member numbers go up, that the sales numbers still go up, googd news indeed. Things have been quiet in my shop, but I had a nice yet brief moment of sales in the end of March-a few blogs picked up on my shop and I had an item on Etsy's front page for the first time! Yay! it was a wonderful few days but now its very quiet.

Amazing that in such tough economic times that sales are doing so well. I'd love to know what that was compared to March of last year.

This info is very nice to have but I would like MORE SALES information. As a business manager, the more data you have at hand, the better you can run your business.
1. How about a category breakdown by SALES, I would like to see how each category compares by percent of total sales, and sales increase/decrease.
2. What is the sell through rate per category? How long does it take to sell an average item per category?
3. What is the average price per item SOLD, per category?
4. What is the average number of items purchased per buyer, or per visit, and per category?
5. How many listings are from new members? Are current member listing more? what is the drop out rate for current members?
At this point I feel like I'm just listing an item, and just hoping for the best. I have no idea if my price structure is in line with other successful sellers in my category. I don't even know if the category I'm selling in is a successful category. When it comes to sales information there is no such thing as too much information!

I agree with Eric. For examplem I would like to know if jewelry sales are up. I have noticed more traffic to my shop which is a good thing, but I haven't sold anything. It is frustrating. I wonder if there is just so much jewelry on Etsy. I wonder if inexpensive jewelry sells, higher priced jewelry,etc. etc.
I am happy to see some folks are doing better. Also, I think the word is getting out about Etsy. My state -Delaware-just had a nice article in the local newspaper about some of our Etsy artists.

March was crazy awesome for me I had 53 sales...April on the other hand...dead still, not as many hits, not near as many hearts, and of course not as many sales by a long shot so far. Hopefully it will pick up again before Mother's Day.

Great, I knew it would be better than Feb. Cause last month was an awesome pawsome month for me. Just a thought, could you list how many shops are active selling shops in your stats each month. I am a bit of a statistic junkie and would like to know the ups and downs of active shops listed and not just new shops coming aboard etsy. Thank you.

I love Etsy and the new stats are very inspiring but although I'm getting hits (I also had a Spring Showcase) but no sales. There really is a LOT of jewelry on etsy but I really like most of it!

This was a month when regular physical retail operations were way down, in most of the country, so virtual shops are where it's at! I spend every waking minute here, it is a great value, and the time invested is well worth every penny spent.
