Holidays: Stocking Stuffers Showcase: On Sale Tuesday, November 25, 2008 12 PM EST

Whose favorite part of opening Christmas gifts is the stocking? Is there anyone who doesn't love all the little treasures found nestled in the stocking on Christmas morning?  A great place to find the smaller, less expensive items for stockings is the Holidays: Stocking Stuffer Showcase.

We encourage sellers to add items that would make great, small gifts this holiday season. These items should be able to fit in a holiday stocking.

  • The Holidays: Stocking Stuffers Showcase goes on sale Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 12PM EST.
  • Go to the Showcase Gateway to purchase a spot.
  • This Showcase will run from Monday, December 1, 2008 12am EST to Sunday, December 7, 2008, 11:59pm EST.
  • For $15 USD, Etsy sellers can purchase a 24-hour spot, which will be linked from a prominent banner on Etsy's homepage.
  • Sellers determine which item will be featured in your Showcase slot. Sellers must use the tool in Your Etsy > Promote > Showcase. Learn more about this process here.
  • As you've probably noticed, Etsy tweaked the design of the homepage banner.

Future Showcases

If you are thinking about planning for other Showcases that may be more appropriate for your items, here are some of the front page showcases we will be highlighting for the holiday season:

  • Holidays: Kids & Toys: On sale Thursday December 4, 2008; the Showcase will be live from December 8, 2008 to December 14, 2008.
    • Think fun holiday gifts for kids of all ages.
  • Holidays: Gifts for Her: On sale Thursday, December 11, 2008; the Showcase will be live from December 15, 2008 to December 21, 2008.
    • Think jewelry, accesories, clothing, artwork, bath & body for women of all ages

I am terrible at remembering these things or the time zone thing mixes up in my tiny brain, and I'm an hour early or an hour late! This is one that I'd love to be a part of though because of my needle felting rings and pendants.

great little ideas for the stocking or mutltiple gift gifts ( I will often give one person 4-6 little gifts instead of one big one)

Sometimes I see cookies on Etsy and I'm like, "wait a minute....are those real?" and I have to do a double take, because there's a lot of fake food on here....but those hazelnut cookies look mighty good...

Gotta agree: Stocking gifts are the best. I love looking at the stockings hanging there, bulging with mysterious lumps.

Come to think of it, it's the only time "lumpy" is a positive thing. Ah, the magic of Christmas.

I am very excited for this showcase for a few reasons: 1. My magnet sets would make adorable stocking stuffers and 2. I can't wait to see all the great things other people put up from their shops!!

Lovely selection. ACEO's would make great stocking stuffers too! Tiny works of art that fit perfectly into a stocking : )...just a thought.

Wonderful - I just purchased a spot for Tuesday. I think the redesigned front page makes the showcase more prominent for buyers. This is my first showcase, hoping for lots of sales of all the wonderful little stocking stuffers in my shop!
