New Site Feature: Admin badges on posts at forum homepage

Check it out!   We hope this helps users to identify important info at a glance.

There is now a little Admin badge visible on the main Forum index pages when an Etsy staff member is the author of a thread.

This is just the latest in a few minor tweaks we've been making to the Forums. You might also remember a few weeks ago when we changed the names of the Forum sections.

We know the current Forums have several flaws, and we're working on a plan to deal with many of them in the upcoming months. Basically, the size of the community has outgrown the current format of the Forums and we need to expand the features to accommodate that.

There are a few little changes we can make in the meantime. We appreciate your patience as we adjust to fit the needs of our growing community.

I think an admin only forum would be more useful. Even if a thread says it was started by admin if it's buried down 2+ pages it won't be seen. Just set up an admin announcements forum where only admins can post, use it for Etsy hot news/status and I think all the users will be able to instantly see if something is going on with the site.

We are working on it! These badges should be useful for now...

I saw this for the first time on the forums today! It really helps, especially with the more obscure staff usernames.
