UPDATE :: The cause of the issue appears to have stemmed from a mechanical failure on one of our firewalls. Our backup firewall kicked in, but was not fully configured for the sudden shift in traffic. Haim and Dusten are now getting both firewall machines back up to speed to get us back to 100%.

Today as roughly 2:30pm EST, Etsy suffered from a site wide connectivity issue that rendered all aspects of the site inoperable. Connectivity was restored at approximately 4:45pm EST, though there seem to be some lingering speed problems. Haim and Dusten are at the datacenter now, tracking down the cause of the issue. We'll post more information as soon as we discover more.

All online showcase slots scheduled to be displayed on April 1st will be refunded.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and we'll be doing our best to prevent this from happening in the future.
