Based on the community's feedback and suggestions, sellers now have the ability to update the shipping on multiple items at once! The new batch shipping feature works very similarly to the sections feature in which you can assign sections to a list of your items all at once. Keep in mind, you will need to have preset shipping profiles in order to batch assign them to your items. Find step by step instructions right here on how to create a shipping profile from our Shipping FAQ's.
Here's how it works:
- Click the new "Batch Shipping" text link under the "Items" heading in Your Etsy when you are logged into your account.
- You will see a list of all your currently listed items on Etsy with a box next to each one (this is where you will assign a shipping profile).
- Select your preset shipping profile from the drop down menu next to all all of the items you wish to edit.
- Click the "save changes" button at the top right of the screen and you are all set!
Thanks for all of your feedback and suggestions!

Great timing you guys - I was dreading having to individually update the shipping on all the items in my shop when the UK postal rates go up next month, thankyou for saving me that pain :D

Great new feature and excellent timing! US Postage rates go up on May 12th and this will make shipping updates a snap! THANK YOU!!!

Especially helpful, with USPS rates changing in May! Thanks!!

I am so excited about this feature. One more thing that I would love would be a "select all" checkbox. That is probably a little lazy of me, huh? LOL,
Thank you so much!! :O)

I just sat down to the arduous task of manually changing the shipping on all 108 of my items when I noticed the new link. I couldn't be happier! This saved me hours of work and saved my boyfriend from hours of complaining.

Better yet, eliminate the requirement for shipping costs in listings altogether and instead allow sellers to use their own custom shipping calculator if they want to. Let's see, I have a 7 pound package it it will cost $18.30 priority to the max ship zone, but only $7.35 local. Now if I list $18.30 I scare away customers and of those that do order (if any) I'd have to generate a refund for most since most do not live in any one given zone. On the other hand I could list the $7.35 and then be accused of "switch and bait tactics" when I have to tell a customer their actual cost is $18.30. On the other hand if had the choice of using my own shipping calculator the cusomter can determine on their own what an item costs, I need only list a item weight, which does not change, and I never would have to change shipping fees in any listings. We need an option to at least indicate a shipping calculator and not show $ amounts (and preferably a html field in the listing form that can handle a link to such so buyers need not paste the url link to my calculator into a new browser window).

I forgot to add that having to list shipping fees for multiple items is even worse. All my goods are different - there is no way in heaven and earth to determine this without knowing what items the customer will actually buy. A book can be combined with another book via media mail, but not with a ring or quilt and be sent media mail. Two heavy items can't be combined if they exceed 70 pounds as USPS will not take it. It totally impractical!
