Tech Update: Scheduled Site Maintenance 5/25/09

It's that time again! On Monday, May 25, 2009 from 2-8 a.m. ET we will be doing scheduled maintenance on Etsy's systems. (Click here to translate this time on a world clock.) During this time period, all functions on the site will be unavailable, and all Etsy users will be directed to a page noting that the site is undergoing scheduled maintenance. For updates during the maintenance window, please see http://fix.etsy.com.  

We have published the scheduled site maintenance times for the rest of 2009 here. In the States, Monday is Memorial Day, so we're hoping you will be sleeping in and won't notice a thing.

(Note: Any sellers who have purchased a Showcase that would run during this maintenance window will receive a pro-rated credit for the 6-hour maintenance period.)

I, for one is pleased that the site will down for a scheduled maintenance because it will only make Etsy better in the long run.

The timing makes perfect sense, too bad I didn't have that much sense when I bought a showcase for May 25. Didn't even realize it was a holiday and now the update. I can just hope someone is sitting on a beach with a lap top and find my tiny feet with sandals.
