Winter Fashion & Accessories Showcase: On Sale October 1, 2009 at 12 p.m. ET

In anticipation of the cooler weather, I am on the hunt for a new hat, gloves and scarf that would give my beloved heavy black coat some flair. Whether you are looking for winter clothing or accessories for yourself, or looking for that perfect gift for the upcoming holiday season, the Winter Fashion & Accessories Showcase will be the place to start looking for that one of a kind item. Look for the Showcase on the home page on Monday, October 5!

Info for Sellers

If you are a maker of jewelry, scarves, gloves, hats, bags, warm sweaters, jackets or anything else that is ideal for the winter, we're looking for you! In order to keep the Showcase on-point thematically, the tool will only pull items placed in the following categories: Accesories (meaning, top-level tag being "accessories"), Bags and Purses, Clothing, Crochet, Jewelry, Knitting, Vintage.

  • The Winter Fashion & Accessories Showcase goes on sale Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 12 p.m. ET.
  • Go to the Showcase Gateway to purchase a spot.
  • This Showcase will run from Monday, October 5, 2009 12 a.m. ET until Sunday, October 11, 2009, 11:59 p.m. ET.
  • For $15 USD, Etsy sellers can purchase a 24-hour spot, which will be linked from a prominent banner on Etsy's homepage.
  • Sellers determine which item will be featured in your Showcase slot. Sellers must use the tool in Your Etsy > Promote > Showcase. Learn more about this process here.

Future Showcases

If you are thinking about planning for other Showcases that may be more appropriate for your items, here are some of the front page Showcases we will be highlighting:

  •  Holidays: Gifts, Cards and Wrap Showcase: On sale October 8, 2009; the Showcase will be live from October 12, 2009 to October 18, 2009.

    • Think holiday gifts and the cards and wrap to make the gift presentation memorable. 

  • Holidays: Home Decor Showcase: On sale October 15, 2009; the Showcase will be live from October 19, 2009 to October 25, 2009.

    • Think all things to decorate for the holidays: for the home, the tree, your walkway, to entertain, etc.

  • Holidays: Kids & Toys Showcase: On sale October 22, 2009; the Showcase will be live from October 26, 2009 to November 1, 2009.
    • Think fun holiday gifts for kids of all ages.

All these hats and scarves and gloves actually make me wish it was cold enough to wear them already. Espeically the Yokoo warmer, the Ileaiye mustard yellow hat, and the 1918Vintage ropey scarf.
