Spring is here, and we're packing up our craft show suitcases once again for another exciting season touring around the U.S. (and maybe beyond!). We'll be hanging out at conferences, fairs and festivals, and even setting up our own meet-ups so we can chat with you this summer. Various smiling Etsy Admins will man tents, give away goodies, and listen to your Etsy stories and ideas, so if you happen to be in any of the fine cities below, please come by and introduce yourself!
May 20 - May 23. SNAG Conference, "REVOLUTION" — Philadelphia, PA
Etsy is sponsoring SNAG's (Society of North American Goldsmith) conference and a four hour Professional Development Seminar just before the annual conference. The Seminar delivers concrete information that will change the way you do business.
May 30 - May 31. Maker Faire — San Mateo, CA
The World's Largest DIY Festival. A two-day, family-friendly event to MAKE, create, learn, invent, CRAFT, recycle, think, play and be inspired by celebrating arts, crafts, engineering, food, music, science and technology.
Renegade Craft Fairs
The Renegade Craft Fair is a unique, DIY event showcasing over 300 talented artists and crafters. The fair takes place in cities across the U.S., including Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. At RCF you’ll find all sorts of cool handmade stuff — including plush items, jewelry, posters and prints, craft kits, clothing, stationery and more. Oh! You have to go to the Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit-- my favorite! I do it this weekend (Memorial Day weekend) and Labor Day weekend -- My booth is near Waverly & University, but the show runs up University, near the park. It's fabulous and I love the art there!

South Carolina deserves a look-see too. We have several really good shows. The absolute best, in my opinion, has been Picolo Spoleto, in late spring, in Charleston; and Atalaya, in September, at Huntingdon Beach State Park. I used to absolutely love doing both those shows! And nearby North Carolina has some really great shows also. Somebody earlier in the posts spoke of Lazy Daze, in Cary. That was always a solid performer- however it used to be only one day. That may have changed. Another great one to check out is the New Morning Gallery Show, in Biltmore Village in Asheville. These shows were the creme de la creme in the Carolinas, and unless there have been truly drastic changes in the past few years, I am sure they still are.

When Brooklyn's winter starts to get you down, why don't you just pack up the Etsy travel bus and head out to the sunny Arizona desert? Its so much nicer to do art festivals during the winter when the temperature is reasonable than during the summer when the temps rarely fall below 100F during the day..

You definitely need to visit Nashville. The Annual American Artisan Festival is this summer (in June) featuring some Etsians - including my Etsy Metal Team member Danielle Miller Jewelry. Or you can come any month and visit the much anticipated monthly Walden Artisan Market which also features many Etsy sellers including myself and Mary from Maryink. :)

I am really going to try to head over from Sacramento to SF to come visit on the 9th! My sister is coming from out of state to visit, but if I can talk her into it, we'll be there! Please don't forget about the South, specifically gulf coast region. We have such diversitity and amazing INDI art are. In the spring we hold the worlds largesst R0deo, carnival and BBQ cook off. How could we miss that. Maybe we could together a teamna use supplies provided by vendors to show type of quality we have!! This is an awesom idea really.
I can be tied in with the Mardie Graw that Galveston Islands hosts and it's getting bigger and bigger every yet.
That would covere the period from Mid Dec., through the end of March. Always something happen here. People com from all over the world. It could potentially be blogbuster for starts and existing stores for purchases.
Let me know if there is any specific info that I dig up and send to you. I'd be more than gladly to help this. After all, Houston is one of the top 7 cities in the Un.Sts. I believe she's 5th actually, or maybe 3.
O=Please give this some serious consideration, we love to make things our self here and we keept d getting over looked for the easier markets on the East and West Coast.
