This week we are pleased to announce a very special edition of Monday Craft Night. The Etsy Labs and Sweet Tooth of the Tiger join forces to create a recipe slam! We'll be sharing recipes with one another and binding them into little cookbook zines. At the start of craft night, we'll collect the recipes, make copies, hand them out, and make cookbook zines to take home. We'll demonstrate binding techniques as well. You can decorate and embellish your cookbook any way you'd like.
Supplies are provided, though you are welcome to bring any special papers or fabrics to incorporate into your projects.
- When: Monday August 11, 5-8pm. There will be a reception from 5-6pm, where you can sample sweet treats (all under $2) from the Sweet Tooth of the Tiger gals and talk shop. Serious crafting will commence at 6pm.
- Where: Etsy Labs, 325 Gold Street, 3rd floor, Brooklyn, NY
- What to Bring: Your favorite recipes (4" x 5.5" max, ideally in their original format — handwritten, with food stains...we love it all!) If possible, please scan and email your recipes ahead of time to rsvp@etsy.com.
Get your sweet tooth ready to feast on Sweet Tooth of the Tiger treats and recipes!
Not in Brooklyn? Join us for a virtual bake sale with the Etsy's Edible Arts Team (EEAT) in the Treehouse room of the Virtual Labs. The team members will be able to show off some of their home-baked goodies, take questions, and sell items.
Craft Night occurs every Monday at 325 Gold Street, 3rd floor in Brooklyn, New York. Each week the Etsy Labs organize a skill-sharing project. We provide supplies, tools, snacks, and know-how. Participants are also welcome to bring their own project to work on independently. Craft night is a time to make things, learn new skills, and hang out. Each craft night is also broadcast live in the Treehouse room of the Virtual Labs. All demos will be shown both in the Labs in Brooklyn and in the Treehouse online.
Will we see you at the recipe slam? Post in the comments below!
