Greetings to our Bay Area friends!
As we mentioned in our Summer Tour post, a group of Etsy Admins will be meeting up in San Francisco, California on June 9th, 2009. We will be out in San Francisco for a meeting, and we are very excited to meet any and all interested Etsy members. Admins attending include Maria Thomas, Etsy’s CEO, Sara Hicks, Etsy's VP of Product, Chad Dickerson, our Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Jesse Hertzberg, Director of Business Development, and Carrington Williams, Director of Strategic Finance.
Come on by, say hello, and have some snacks and drinks on us.

I will be attending and will be bringing the love of my life, my 8 mo. old son, Mr. Inspector General, the chief designer of my work and the muse for my inspiration. I'm a Canadian who was disappointed that you weren't going to be in Vancouver during the Canadian tour...but is now thrilled to learn that you'll be in San Francisco at the same time I'll be vacationing there! I know that I have plans with friends that evening, but I'll see what I can do about scheduling to possibly attend the Etsy meet-up. I'm not optimistic that I'll have the time, but if I can manage it: Ammmmaaaazing! That being said, I fear that my concerns as a Canadian seller are much different than those of American sellers, and were likely already brought up during the Toronto and Montreal meet-ups.

By The Way...the big Pro Arts East Bay Open Studios will be in full swing during that time: Week-ends of June 6-7 and June 13-14, 11:00am to 6pm. I am participating, in case anyone would like to see my studio @ 281 Grizzly Peak Blvd., Kensington, Ca.

Wow, it seems allot of Etsy folk are going to be there. How lucky for you all :-)))! My day job will be taking me across the bay to Concord that day but with a 100 mile commute to home. My apologies that I'll be filthy dirty and headed south at about the time of the get together :-( ... You guys have great time.

BTW, if you have time while you are in SF you might consider seeing the new Georgia O'Keefe/Ansel Adams show that just opened at the SF MOMA (not far from Delcancey Street.
Check it out on-line-you can buy tix before you get there and pick them up at will call. I took my teenage daughter and we both loved it.

IT WAS AWESOME!
You cannot beat talking about crafting, our business, hanging with awesome friends (GO CCCOE!!!) and wine!
Maria was great. She didnt try to whitewash anything, was so forward about where the site is going, what is on the priority list, etc.
I left the meeting super pleased, knowing about all the new features in the works to make the buying experience more streamlined and easy!
