This week's Shop Live host is none other than Rosie O'Donnell! You may know her as a talented television host, comedian, actress, singer, and author, but she is also an avid crafter, as you can see from her Etsy shop. Rosie will be showing items from some of her favorite Etsy sellers, and the proceeds from sales of many of the items will be donated to Rosie's Broadway Kids, an arts education organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children through the arts. Rosie's Broadway Kids provides instruction in dance and music and a professional theater experience for children who might otherwise not have the opportunity.

It's a great cause, so join us live and chat with Rosie in Etsy's Virtual Labs on Friday, March 13, 2009. The doors open at 2:45pm EDT and the event starts at 3pm EDT. There are only 120 seats, so make sure you get there on time!

That is so cool that Rosie supports the arts for youth by making and selling handmade. I'm a fan from her show days, but this is a true testament to her compassionate character. Way to go Rosie!

Rosie would love to see more sculptures of yours.

Also, would like to see in the future if possible is some of Rosie's Broadway Kids... Artwork ... I'm sure there are some of those talented Broadway kids who are just as creative with their hands.

What better incentive for a person ... any age to know one can make $$$$ as an artist or artisian crafter.

Besides having a regular job. In this day in age for myself to know I can always fall back on my craft to support myself or make some extra moola is a Godsend!

I also think if more people developed their creative process many wouldn't have time to be sick ...get in trouble or whine and cry about how bad they've got it...etc.

Go Rosie!!!! More people need to support our younger generation in all art forms!!!!

Am I the only etsian that had no clue Rosie has a shop here? I just spent a good amount of time perusing through her pieces...and yes, I will admit it publicly..I did glance..peek..OK..looked through every single one..of the items she has purchased here too! I just couldn't help myself..Very cool and eclectic items she has found on etsy but I guess that is the beauty of it?

Can I just say too, without sounding star-crazed in any way..is that not the best picture of Rosie at the top of the page..that you have ever seen? She looks gorgeous...never knew she had all those great freckles either..I am so hoping I will be around Friday at 3:00PM...to catch a glimpse of her!
