Dear Moderator: I know that if this post belongs on another page you will see to it that the feedback goes to your potential sellers. My family knows how much I rave about etsy.com and have encouraged people to sell here. When pricing vintage it's only fair to take a square look at the cleanliness of the item... If a seller is unwilling to sell a clean item then it belongs in a rummage sale as a cast off donation. I did not have the heart to place unfavorable comments regarding 3 recent purchases... 2 vintage purses, and one vintage pair of boots(3diff sellers). Times are tough and generally I honor all of my convos. When I recieved those items they went straight into the backyard for a dose of sunlight. But after paying for shipping I find the cost of these items was prohibitive. Retailers are providing brand new merchandise at up to %90 off sales. Sellers should remove dust in the creases of the material, look one more time to remove left items in purses or pockets. In particular finger smudges on patent leather,dust/dirt that could have been brushed off of the suede boots... In order to use one clutch purse I will have to submerge the item in soapy water, place baking soda in the other and use a suede brush myself to clean the boots. After they air out substantially. If I don't actually do an energetic cleaning of some kind! :( - g

I do agree with Grieternal. During this bad time, sellers should take EXTRA "TLC" in making sure that the products they are selling are of good quality. Things like taking photographs as close as the real item so as not to mislead buyers and secure packaging for shipment helps to make sure that the purchase arrives in good conditions to the buyers. Those "black sheeps" destroy chances of the rest of the sellers who are trying their best out here.

Great update. I think I stress out too much over pricing! Shipping is also tricky these days with all the price changes and flat rates. I never charge more than postage cost, and eat the costs of packaging, since I tend to go over board on that anyway! it's fun.
