I've been making kombucha for several months now, after a friend introduced me to it. It's very exciting to make -- each batch tastes a little different and has a personality of its own! I drink a little bit every day, mostly because of its detoxifying benefits. I highly recommend it!

Oh, and I've heard organic tea is best -- the stuff in non-organic tea can mess up the culture.

having many health issues and having dealt with dietary and medication conflicts in the past I just want anyone who tries this to do the legwork first and ask your health care practitioner if you have questions...

Oh, I've been obsessed with kombucha lately, but I lack the space to brew it at home, so I buy the bottled stuff.

I got some Kombucha from a health food / guest house just north of where I live. I have been adding it to other bottles of tea and creating new cultures.

so far it tastes great and makes me feel great. I think you just have to watch out for mold growing on the surface.

Does anyone know the advantage of growing a Kombucha mother? I am trying that one out now... and it seems to be working...

THANKS !
