<p>cute article. I really love elsita's stuff - I remember she was the featured seller the week I joined Etsy! I love the photo in this article of her sketchbook - I also do a lot of sketching and illustrated "musing" and it really informs my creative process.</p>

When I opened my shop, I knew I had to make exactly what I would love -- what I DO love -- and not try to cater to what I think customers would want. It may be riskier ... but it is a very true and comfortable place to be in.</p>

<p>You are so right. I have so many ideas going on in my head and everytime I thought about getting it out there, I would think that no one would be interested or it would never work. Then I finally stopped thinking this way and decided to do it for myself because this is what I enjoy doing. To my surprise things are working out just fine.
