I wish a place like this existed in every city. Though the comment about Van Gogh being a more powerful artist because of his probable mental illness (most likely bipolar) is based off of an opinion with incomplete information. Who knows what his work would be like if he had been medicated, since he never was. It might be true, but it also might be true that his problems held him back as an artist. Killing himself in his thirties certainly held him back. </p>

I just always painted for the sake of painting. I always felt like I was in this weird limbo area where it would be hard for people to take me seriously as an artist because of that...and this article opens my eyes to the fact that this &quot;Outsider Artist&quot; concept isn;t just my imagination. i feel like I have a home now!</p>
