Dreaming about road trips, travel to distant lands, or a "stay-cation" camping trip to the backyard? You can find ideas for gear and clothing you might want for your adventure — whether traveling far or near or simply escaping at home — to make it more memorable in the Travel Showcase.

We ask that sellers choose travel-related items such as:

Travel accessories: Bags, passport holders, wallets, etc.

Vacation fashion: Clothing and accessories ideal for a getaway in all climates. (Safari hat, sunglasses, etc.)

Travel-related items: Maps, vintage road signs, compasses, travel games, travel-sized toiletries, stationary, postcards, journals.

Travel-inspired items: Think airplanes, road trips, landmarks, trains, beaches, vintage suitcases, etc.

The Travel Showcase goes on sale Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 12 p.m. ET.
Go to the Showcase Gateway to purchase a spot.
This Showcase will run from Monday, July 6, 2009 12 a.m. ET until Sunday, July 12, 2009, 11:59 p.m. ET.
For $15 USD, Etsy sellers can purchase a 24-hour spot, which will be linked from a prominent banner on Etsy's homepage.
Sellers determine which item will be featured in your Showcase slot. Sellers must use the tool in Your Etsy > Promote > Showcase. Learn more about this process here.

This week’s Guest Curator is Jess Chamberlain, who writes about decorating, projects, and eco-friendly living for Sunset Magazine. Jess is dedicated to improving readers' lives through healthy choices. She appreciates thoughtfully-made (smart) products, and she can’t get enough of creative ways to reuse old furniture. Jess also writes for the Home by Sunset blog, loves discovering new shops, and can sometimes be found experimenting (with her wanna-be green thumb or her fancy-looking camera) in the Sunset test garden. She lives for a good cup of coffee and thrives on converting brown-baggers into aspiring environmentalists.

Scouring the market for unique and handmade products is one of the best parts of my job (sampling pinots with our wine editor at lunch time is another). Eco-friendly living is my favorite beat here and a key foundation of life in the West, so I was thrilled to learn of Etsy’s new Team Eco Etsy as well as the Shop Local feature. Well done!

I love the great outdoors. Journeying into the forest and setting up a cozy camp is a childhood memory that I relish. The fishing, the boating, finding treasures in the wilderness: who doesn't have a deep and abiding fondness for nature? In fact, I loved camping so much as a kid that I set up a little orange pup tent on my bed and slept inside it for a year.

"What do dudes like?!" The Storque came to me begging to know one Monday afternoon.

"Who wants to know?" I responded coolly while gazing off into the distance, even though I knew it was Alison from the Storque.

Alison rolled her eyes.

"I'll tell you what they like!" I exclaimed hopping down from the hood of my IROC-Z and flipping my sunglasses up. "They like hot cars and fast women. Cold beer and killer tunes and most importantly they like being left ALONE."

"Can you turn this damn music down?" Alison yelled while smacking away the finger I was thrusting in her face to prove some point. "And maybe write this article like you promised, and stop parking in front of my apartment."

I did two of those things. And not because she asked me.

This Portable Campfire by 4milewelder is a true dude's find. First, it can start real fires. Second, it looks awesome. I mean, just look at it. Third, I could totally get away from it all and bring this and my trusty switchblade and live off nothing but my wits, and cook my own food and make s'mores that I wouldn't have to share with anyone!
